The best way to approach International Camping in Italy's Teramo province is of course to flop down here for a rest on an international two (or three) year trip... But if that's not poss because of life etc (bah), do the next best thing and flop down for a week or two: a worldly amount of things to see and do is nearby.
Such as... the white sandy beach right in front of the site, which we reckon makes this a sublime spot for families, tiddlers, seaside fans and nature lovers – and its location in the Torre del Cerrano marine reserve, a protected nature area with a seven-kilometre coastal strip.
Site facilities include a grocery store and a restaurant serving Italian and regional food as well as takeaway and a rotisserie, and a bar to sip at while the kids whirl around the playground. Washing-up facilities and blocks are also on site: please note that there's a small charge for the hot showers.
In the summer months, guests who want to celebrate Mass can do so directly on site.

This is a right beaut area, filled with white beaches, old towns and cities, nature, and walking and biking trails... a hike and nature spotting sesh in the Torre di Cerrano marine park should be an early start, along with a bike ride around the pine forest of the Pineta Alta.
Ten kilometres away are the sea views, cathedral and museums of ancient town Atri, a place of Etruscan, Greek and Roman origin and re-established in medieval times. Villa Filiani in Pineto, and the village of Mutignano are two of the International Camping team's top picks.
Other top-pick options in the area are the surrounding cities of Pescara, Ascoli Piceno, Loreto, Civitella del Tronto and Teramo, or venturing to Rome, the Tremiti Islands and San Giovanni Rotondo.
