A day out in the Alps? Walks in the Pilat Regional Natural Park? A day in Lyon? Horse riding? Taking the kids to a theme park or waterpark? All are easily done from Camping des Eydoches, in the Rhône-Alpes village of Faramans. Also easily done is time spent on site, as this family-friendly site is well equipped with facilities, including a heated swimming pool, table tennis, badminton and volleyball courts, plus play areas and a bouncy castle for the kids. For further activity, you need only take a short walk to the next-door golf course or the pond (which is suitable for fishing as well as waterside wanders). The team here have set up the site to make life as convenient as possible, with all sorts of amenities laid on including a food shop, a launderette, a washing-up area and bathroom blocks that have accessible facilities and baby bathrooms as well as toilets and showers. Even organising your holiday meals should be pretty straightforward here, as there’s a restaurant and pizzeria five minutes’ walk away, and shops 10 minutes’ walk away in the village. La Côte St André is 10 minutes’ drive away for more restaurants and supermarkets for your barbecue supplies.

喜欢 It was quiet and the lake just behind is gorgeous for a walk

不喜欢 This isn’t really a campsite - more a trailer park. ‘Pitches’ for tents are just areas of grass crammed between different trailers. Feels like a lot of people live there year round and like they don’t want ‘foreigners’ staying there. Facilities are rubbish - two toilets and two showers for the whole site, with no toilet seat in one and no toilet paper or hand soap provided. Stay somewhere else

来自经理: Merci pour votre avis, alors pour votre information nous vous avons placé au calme car il y avait une cousinade ce jour la...désolée d'être prévoyants. Si vous aviez pris le temps de regarder plutôt que de critiquer, il a a un grand espace pour les tentes avec herbes...toujours mieux que les cailloux ! Et toujours avec un peu plus d'observation nous avons 2 blocs sanitaires mais au mois d'octobre au vu de la fréquentation un seul suffit... que dire encore avez vous échanger avec les autres clients pour dire qu'ils ne sont pas accueillant ?? Le camping n'est peut être pas la solution pour vos vacances ? Nous avons justement la réputation d'être un petit camping convivial et familial,
Nous rappelons par ailleurs que, comme dans de nombreux campings traditionnels, les produits d'hygiène personnelle restent à la charge des campeurs.

喜欢 Super cadre les propriétaires sont super sympas très agréable dommage un peu trop bruyant les deux nuits après 22h si ça aurait été pendant les grandes vacances aucun soucis!!

不喜欢 I arrived just after 12 (official check in time) to find that reception was closed from 12 until 2! I then waited until 3 for someone to arrive after sending an email to let the owners I had arrived so basically I had to wait for 3 hours before I was offered a pitch. Not great

来自经理: Hello, thank you very much for your 1-star rating. Your comments about our hours are a bit unreasonable, but never mind. Sorry for taking a break between noon and 2 PM after working six months without a day off. Soon, the only "campsites" left will be ones run by automated kiosks—and then you can give a 1-star rating because the experience will be completely devoid of any human touch!
You could have simply set up in an available spot while you waited; the campsite itself was open—it was just the reception desk that was closed.
Perhaps one day we’ll be able to rate our customers too, and then you’ll understand things a bit better... All the best!

不喜欢 Reception was due to open at 2pm and nobody turned up until 2.20pm. Us and two other guests were waiting to check in.
Shower block felt quite cold even in August.
Didn’t feel overly safe but okay for just an overnight stop.

Want to start by exploring the local countryside? There are plenty of places to get out for a walk or bike ride nearby, either from the site or from local villages, and a couple of equestrian centres just outside Faramans for those who’d like to tour on horseback. More challenging hikes can be found by driving an hour or so east to the Vercors and Chartreuse mountains or travelling a similar distance west to the Pilat Regional Natural Park. Mix in a bit of urban time with a day exploring the museums and historic streets of Lyon (an hour’s drive) or going up to Grenoble (45 minutes) to ride the bubble-style cable car up to the Bastille fortress. On a much smaller scale is the village of Saint-Antoine-l’Abbaye (35 minutes), one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France for its medieval abbey and half-timbered houses. Family days out are in good supply around here too: try the waterslides at Aqualib’ (10 minutes), the treetop trails and ziplines at Parc Oasis Aventura (20 minutes), the wildlife trails at Safari de Peaugres (45 minutes) or the rides at Walibi Rhône-Alpes (50 minutes). It’s also really worth making a trip to Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval (25 minutes), an extraordinary building constructed by one man over 33 years, mainly using stones picked up on his post round.
