Camping de Peyroche

You may like to start your trip by exploring one (or both) of your local villages, each 10 minutes’ drive away. Labeaume is a Village de Caractère where you can wander through the maze of old cobbled streets to a wonderful viewpoint or the jardins suspendus. Pretty Ruoms is also worth visiting for its medieval ramparts and artisan shops. After that, get out into the spectacular landscapes this area is so well known for. Perhaps you’ll want to take a walk or bike ride on the Via Ardèche, which runs through Ruoms, hike around places like Le Cirque de Gens (10 minutes) or take a horseback outing from La Loubière (15 minutes). And of course, there are some stunning canoe/kayak trips through the Pont d’Arc and into the Gorges de l’Ardèche from Vallon Pont d’Arc (20 minutes). For other days out, try the zipwires and via ferrata climbing at Entertainment Adventure Camp (15 minutes), get underground at Aven d’Orgnac cave (40 minutes) or meet goats, ponies and other beasts at Parc Animalier des Gorges de l’Ardèche (half an hour).
