All the things you need for a comfortable holiday, with no unnecessary extras – that’s the aim for the owners of Camping de Peyroche, a family-friendly Rhône-Alpes site between Ruoms and Labeaume (and about 10 minutes’ drive from both). What that means in practice is that you won’t find a pool, a fancy sports court or a long list of kids’ activities here – but there are plenty of other things provided to make sure you don’t miss any of that. A play area and pétanque court are on site, and a wonderful pool alternative in the form of an Ardèche river beach running alongside the site for about 300 metres. This is a spot where you can go fishing, take a swim, do a bit of sunbathing or launch kayaks (paddling them all the way to the Pont d’Arc if you’re feeling energetic…). Everyday essentials are nicely catered for here as well – the site has a restaurant/snack bar, a shop, a launderette, wifi, a chemical disposal point and bathrooms with parent-and-baby facilities. And if space to relax is also an essential for you, there’s good news – you’ll have plenty of that around this 17-acre park. Rather fill your days with activity? There’s also plenty of that on offer around the local area – as well as canoe/kayak trips, there are tree-climbing parks, horse riding centres, canyoning tours and hiking trails galore to try out.

Honden

  • Op deze camping zijn hondenrassen/kruisingen die in de 'lijst met hoog-risico honden op agressief gedrag' zijn opgenomen, niet toegestaan (zoals de pitbullterriër, tosa, Argentijnse dog en fila brasileiro). Ook de volgende rassen zijn niet welkom: de staffordshire-bulterriër, Amerikaanse staffordshireterriër, rottweiler en mastiff.

  • De receptie is onbemand na 18:00. Verwacht je na dit tijdstip aan te komen, breng het park dan hiervan op de hoogte, zodat het team je informatie kan geven over jouw accommodatie.

Ik was blij met Les nouveaux sanitaires très spacieux ,confort, très très propre.
La superbe piscine à débordement magnifique. Les emplacements pour tentes sont grands.
L'accueil très convivial agréable. Les 2 rivières à proximité.

Ik was niet blij met L'aérodrome à côté du camping.

You may like to start your trip by exploring one (or both) of your local villages, each 10 minutes’ drive away. Labeaume is a Village de Caractère where you can wander through the maze of old cobbled streets to a wonderful viewpoint or the jardins suspendus. Pretty Ruoms is also worth visiting for its medieval ramparts and artisan shops. After that, get out into the spectacular landscapes this area is so well known for. Perhaps you’ll want to take a walk or bike ride on the Via Ardèche, which runs through Ruoms, hike around places like Le Cirque de Gens (10 minutes) or take a horseback outing from La Loubière (15 minutes). And of course, there are some stunning canoe/kayak trips through the Pont d’Arc and into the Gorges de l’Ardèche from Vallon Pont d’Arc (20 minutes). For other days out, try the zipwires and via ferrata climbing at Entertainment Adventure Camp (15 minutes), get underground at Aven d’Orgnac cave (40 minutes) or meet goats, ponies and other beasts at Parc Animalier des Gorges de l’Ardèche (half an hour).
