Have yourself a little holiday in Haverfordwest where you can (literally) lose yourself in the three spacious acres of green expanse at Dunston Hill Campsite. If you’re pining for a pry around Pembrokeshire, then you’re in luck, as the park not only has beaches close by but also a handy nine further acres in its surrounds. You just need to decide where to start... The friendly owners at this family-run site have crafted a clean, well-laid out and quiet with traditional dry-stack stone walls around the camping fields... all you need do is kick back on one of the picnic benches and take in the peace, privacy and ease of your surroundings. Spick and span ladies’ and gents’ loo and hot-shower facilities await in the new amenities block, and drinking water is available on site too. A games room at Dunston Hill will keep the kids in check and dogs are also welcome on site.

Feel peachy as you peek around the former county town of Pembroke, about half an hour south from Dunston Hill. A Norman settlement that’s anything but normal - it was the birthplace of King Henry VII and has a mighty castle overlooking both the town, where you’ll be spoilt with the choice of restaurants, shops, pubs and cafés, and the surrounding conservation area, including Mill Pond, which is teeming with chances to spot kingfisher and otters. Architecture admirers can take to the ruins of Monkton’s Benedictine Priory (just a stroll along the pond) and the town’s historic churches and Georgian and Tudor buildings, with camera in hand to poke about the interesting nooks and crannies. You can also muse on the museums amassed in these learned parts - vintage car enthusiasts will be driven wild with excitement at the Motor Museum in Keeston (only one mile north). Skomer, Ramsey, Caldey...the islands off the Pembrokeshire coast are pretty and plentiful. Visitors of any inclination, from adrenaline-fuelled aquatic types to those who prefer to calmly cruise a coastline, can hop aboard traditional boats for exploring the islands’ bays and landing trips, or hold on tight for a high-speed ride around the open waters (maybe just hold off on the full English that morning…). Either option will show twitchers the delights of guillemots, gannets and razorbills, as well as some scenery to take your breath away - which reminds us, the puffins shouldn’t be missed either. Look out for the grey seals and harbour porpoises in the water too. With more than 50 beaches along the coastline, there’s no excuse not to pull on a wetsuit and jump feet first into the watersports on offer in Pembrokeshire. St Bride’s Bay is just to the west of Dunston Hill and the beaches of Newgale Sands, Broadhaven and Little Haven are a little less than five miles from the site. While sandcastle building takes a back seat, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing and diving are available in selected areas, as is fishing for those of a more ‘sit back and wait’ disposition (and with the tepid temperatures of the Gulf Stream passing through Pembrokeshire, we can hardly blame you). Go and kart the kids off to Heatherton World of Activities near Tenby (just over 20 miles away) for all-year-round fun and games including a maize maze, archery, robot wars, and a driving range. Can’t think of anything more to tire the boisterous kidlings? We can... Canaston Bridge in Narbeth (around 20 minutes by car) is home to Oakwood Theme Park where you’ll find Vertigo and Megaphobia: no, not ailments you’ll come away with, but thrill-seeking rides which explain why Oakwood is one of the top ten theme parks in the country.

喜欢: Reasonable priced for non electric tent pitch. Toilet block near tent pitches. Enough open space between tents. Close to beaches broadhaven, newgale and abereiddy blue lagoon.

喜欢: Facilities were mostly clean, hot water was always working and there is a fridge freezer.

不喜欢: Other people on the site were loud until early hours of the morning blasting music and kids running round until very late.

喜欢: Owners were very friendly and helpful in assisting us to get the caravan onto the pitch Convenient location for visiting coastal South Pembrokeshire. Showers etc basic but water was adequate and hot.

不喜欢: The site is rather untidy and our pitch (grass) was very difficult to get off after heavy rain as located towards the bottom of a sloping field.

来自经理: I apologise for a few things, if you found it untidy then all I can say is sorry we do our best but i did apologise for the grass not being cut due to the weather and also for the children leaving things about whilst they were playing. We do not provide WiFi on site for the price paid (£18 per night including electric), sadly it is not fees able for us to do so. And also if we charged maybe even £25 a night you may get a hard standing on some caravan sites. Also I apologise that it rained during your stay. We don't charge a lot at all but we give above and beyond what anyone would expect from the price paid. I will gladly refund your money if you feel that bad about our little family run site, we do our best but obviously fell below your expectations for the price paid. You can find my number on your booking form to get a full refund (including your booking and admin fee) Best wishes Geraint

喜欢: Great location, fire-pits and picnic tables to use. Nice big pitches. Friendly helpful owners.

不喜欢: A bit untidy in places. Showers were hit and miss, some days freezing some days scalding.

不喜欢: Park was a little dangerous for little kids as the slides and swings we're all broke. The pitch spaces were a little tight when it got full as there was too many group bookings.

喜欢: Lovely, friendly family site. Really enjoyed our stay here and we even extended two days. We are contemplating getting a caravan here ! Prices are very reasonable . . Play area for the kids .Owners were very accommodating and helpful. Near lots of attractions in Pembrokeshire. Highly recommended:)
