A fan of the outdoors? This is likely to be a wise base for you, as the surrounding countryside and coast are crisscrossed with lots of walking, cycling and mountain biking trails (whichever you choose). Plus with the Isle of Anglesey’s sights, such as Amlwch’s copper mines (over at the Copper Kingdom Centre, 20 minutes’ drive away), museums and activity centres nearby, there are no shortages of things to do. Feel like jetting out to sea on a boat ride or rummaging through rockpools? There are several beaches within 10 minutes’ drive of the site. The nearest, Cemlyn Bay, is a peaceful National Trust beach and lagoon just five minutes’ drive away… walk on the shingle ridge walk and spy on the waterbirds over the lagoon. Tend to your tummy well, as there’s a small food shop five minutes’ drive away. And for a meal out, duck into one of two pubs five minutes’ drive away or take a 10-minute drive to one of the beachside cafés, restaurants or pubs around the coast. On site, things are kept fairly simple. Bring your barbecue gear, as they’re permitted and save any grizzly bits for your dog (they’re welcome on site).

喜欢: Clean spacious accommodation, beautiful site with lovely scenic views. Peaceful yet enough to keep young children happy. Friendly and helpful hosts. Farm animals were lovely and well looked after.

喜欢: Absolutely loved what the family have done with the place. From the games room to all the different options for you to stay they’ve made it a beautiful place. The owner is so welcoming and friendly and was a massive help to us both as it was our first time camping without family etc. The animals were gorgeous and the site is amazing for kids! We will definitely be coming back and can’t wait to bring our family. The site was always clean, the best shower facilities i’ve seen on a site! The only thing we didn’t get to try was the cafe so will be looking foward to trying this when we return!

喜欢: EVERYTHING!!!!! What an amazing find. Picturesque relaxing campsite perfect for families. Met Luke on arrival who was very welcoming and gave us info about the local area. Set up camp on a stunning sea view pitch, plenty of space and wooden picnic table provided. Kids loved all the animals, play area, football pitch and games room. Luke went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We will be returning asap!

喜欢: We have just spent the weekend at Ty Bugail and had the best time! The facilities are fantastic. Toilets and shower blocks are clean. Great park for our the kids and our son loved seeing all the animals. They have 2 hot tubs which you can hire and in the barn area a little football table and pool table. We didn't use these but definitely will be next time! You can also hire paddle boards and wet suits etc. We were on pitch 16 and the views of the sea were amazing. We have no complaints. Luke went above and beyond to make sure we we were happy. Can't wait to visit again soon 😁

喜欢: We really enjoyed staying here. Lovely big private pitches, views from every angle. Lovely clean amenities, very well run. Beach day? Pick and choose between coves… will it be the swimming down at the sheltered Traeth Bach (10 minutes' drive)? Kitesurfing, windsurfing or regular surfing at Lligwy Beach (25 minutes)? Or perhaps peering into the rockpools and fishing at Porth Padrig (10 minutes) and Porth Trwyn (10 minutes) or the rather remote Traeth Ynys y Fydlyn (10 minutes)? Swap the saltwater for freshwater and tackle the walking trails around the peaceful Llyn Alaw (15 minutes), Anglesey’s largest lake. If you’re on the lookout for more wildlife, you may want to take a boat trip to Puffin Island (an hour) or scout out the butterfly house and meerkat tunnels at Pili Palas Nature World (half an hour). Feel a little like a farmer feeding the animals and going on tractor rides at Foel Farm Park (40 minutes). If you’re more interested in animals of the marine kind, perhaps the tanks at Anglesey Sea Zoo (45 minutes) will also entertain you. For something a little different, stroll around the stately gardens at the National Trust’s Plas Newydd House and Gardens (35 minutes) to see where the fashionable people used to go.
