Family-run The Paddocks Caravan and Camping is a small and ultra-organised site with well-maintained, flat and spacious pitches in north Wales. It’s less than five minutes’ drive to the beach at Criccieth, and around half an hour to the imposing castles at Harlech and Caernarfon, making this a cracking adults-only base from which to explore the Llŷn Peninsula. It's a 10-minute trip by car to the wide, south-facing sands at Pwllheli, a former haunt of smugglers and pirates. You'll find it quite a bit calmer these days, especially if you follow the fab Llŷn Peninsula Coastal Path round the peninsula for views and wildlife and splendid sea air. Sandcastles, paddling and rockpool exploration are all there for the taking. If you’d rather ditch the car, a bus stop is five minutes’ walk away, or you can explore on two legs – perhaps a good place to start is the local village of Llanystumdwy (five minutes’ walk), as it’s the burial place of former Prime Minister David Lloyd George. You can see his grave and visit a small museum, and afterwards stroll down the banks of the scenic River Dwyfor or pop into the pub for a pint. Gleaming facilities on site include a well-lit shower block with two private bathrooms (each containing a large shower, wash-hand basin and toilet), plus an adjacent dressing room with a hair dryer and two extra adjacent toilets. Nearby is a covered communal area with a table and seating, plus two washing-up sinks, a fridge-freezer, a separate drinks fridge, a microwave, toaster and a kettle. There's also a phone-charging point. Firepits and barbecues are allowed, but they must be raised off the ground and set up on one of the concrete slabs provided. Small chimineas and barbecues are available for nightly hire on site, and you can buy logs and charcoal here too. Please note that parties are not permitted – this is a quiet site.

喜欢: Great site 👍 would go back again. Nice and clean, nice size good flat pitches. The facilities/ communal area is a great touch with everything you might need in there. Juliette and Leigh the owners are very welcoming and helpful. We arrived Saturday and left on Tuesday. Iv nothing negative to say about the place. Iv already recommended this place to other campers we know. 👍👍

喜欢: What can I say, this was possibly the best campsite I have ever stayed at! Beautiful site, beautiful area and 5 star facilities. The kitchen area and bathroom area were well stocked, comfortable and clean. The owners were super friendly and helpful. The whole site had a lovey BBQ together that the owners arranged in the dining area on the Sunday afternoon. We hired a fire pit on our last evening which was the cherry on the cake!

喜欢: Lovely quiet campsite. Very clean with nice warm showers. Very accommodating hosts who put on a bbq on the Sunday afternoon. Lovely dog friendly beaches not far away. Nice walk along the river from the village.

喜欢: Been campervaning for 10 years this is the best site we have ever been . Adults only, lovely flat pitches . immaculate toilets and showers with everything you need. communal area an added bonus providing a fridge freezer microwave kettle toaster. washing up area great clothes sponges washing up liquid provided. The owners Lee and Juliette go above and beyond to make you feel welcome , even did a bbq for the whole campsite . it won’t be our last visit 😎

喜欢: The site was immaculate, friendly hosts, facilities were more than what you would expect from a campsite. Hosts went out of their way to put on a BBQ for all guests on the bank holiday weekend.

喜欢: The site is in a peaceful location and is excellently layer out. The facilities are new and kept very clean. The provision of freezers and fridges in the communal area is a bonus. Kettle and microwave for campers is a great idea. Free WiFi is good enough for most needs.

喜欢: Small, peaceful site with lovely walks a river and a pub all within 5 minute walk away. Spotlessly clean facilities, the whole site is so well kept and looked after. There is a covered communal kitchen/dining area with washing up facilities but also fridge and freezer with an ice dispenser. Microwave, kettle and even little tea/coffee packs you can purchase! You can also buy milk from the fridge. Basically all the essentials are covered if you forget anything! Such a lot of thought has gone into everything you can tell the owners care about their site. It is a family run site and we were met with a very friendly welcome. It is adults only which is another plus for us, dogs are allowed but I liked the fact that people are reminded to keep them under control and to clean up after them. We will definitely return, it is now in our list of favourites!
