喜欢 Clean & functional toilets and showers. Coffee machine.
Quiet site, clean and tidy, not fussy.
Footpath you recommended up the valley alongside the whitewater rapids was great & so picturesque. - Sunday full English breakfast at the cafe was also highly recommended :-)
Used as our base camp before climbing Yr Wyddra (Snowdon) - see photos from 2/8/25.

喜欢 facilities clean, lovely staff, lovely position by the river

不喜欢 vending machine with ice cream and bottles for the milkshake was consistently broken whenever we came to use it so we didn’t get chance to, that was a shame.

Warning to others, the entrance is rather narrow with tight bends over the bridge so for any larger vehicles/layouts it may well be inaccessible, large enough for a 7m caravan and estate car though so definitely find for most!

make sure you take some sort of levelling block as the pitches can be slightly off level, annoying if you have an ocd partner 😂

喜欢 We really enjoyed our stay, the pitches are clean and flat. Our pitch was close to the toilet block which was ideal for our young children. The walk along the river is great, the kids saw lots of wildlife including bats and toads.

不喜欢 The only thing we didn’t like was on our last morning we woke up to six tents pitched up on our pitch, blocking our car in. People had arrived late in the night and were told to pitch wherever they wanted to for the night. After an awkward conversation with them, they moved.

喜欢 Site was nice, clean, and very close to the Water sports centre, ideal if you want to try Kayaking or white water rafting.

Otter trail is a lovely walk.

WiFi was good.

不喜欢 Only a couple of short walks available in the area. We wanted to walk to Bala, and we hoped there would be a footpath, but there wasn’t. No TV but WiFi was good so could stream.

喜欢 Easy to locate camp site. Camp site had good facilities and well looked after, check in was easy, shower and toilet block available, hot water in the shower, hair dryer available, fridge and freezer on site (although small). Washing machine was available to use at a cost.
Vending machine with milk, ice cream and coffee available for use, right next to the river. Nice walk areas on site.
Close drive to a lot of sights.
There are the jet fly by which is quite nice

不喜欢 The water by the electric tent hook up area doesn’t really get warm or hot, old holes in the toilet stall wall.
A lot of dogs kept off leash even though it was states dogs should remain on leash, we just kept our dogs in their crate the entire time on camp site as off leash dogs kept coming up to our dogs causing them to pull at the leash the entire time when outside crate, when spoke to the owner of the dogs, they said that they’re dogs are “good”..
pitches for electric hook up area is very small and close to other pitches, not much space between them so it lacks a lot of privacy especially with a lot of kids there who were playing football and riding their bikes.
Camping site is close to road and you can hear the noise of the road quite clearly.
A lot of mess around the edges of the pitches and also other dog mess.
Maybe the non electric tent pitches would be different.
Not much view of the scenery nearby.

喜欢 Peaceful and Clean Campsite with the River passing by. Stone throw from the small and beautiful Bala town to visit. Highly recommend :)

喜欢 The campsite has great showers, toilet and washing facilities. I especially liked the coffee and icecream vending machines. The staff were very helpful on arrival and even gave us a USB lead for our Bluetooth speake as we had forgotten ours.

不喜欢 As we had a tent box we couldn't drive out and we weren't able to walk to Bala safely as the roads had no pavements so had to get a taxi there and back. We did find out too late that we could have walked there on an old rail track from a path just off the camp site. We also chose the wettest weekend in July but it didn't spoil things.
