They’re keen on the idea of a serene stay for all guests at Corn Bwch, a rural Denbighshire site surrounded by gorgeous scenery three miles from St Asaph. To make sure that peaceful break isn’t just a pipe dream, the team here implement a no-music policy, don’t accommodate large groups and encourage everyone to be kind to their neighbours with ‘quiet time’ after 11pm. No need to panic if you’ve got kids that aren’t of the particularly peaceful sort though – the site has a sizeable separate field where they can run about, make noise and play games of football without guy rope trip hazards. Barbecues and campfires are all part of the experience here, of course; the team help such proceedings along by hiring out firepits, selling firewood and providing picnic tables to serve up on. Too bleary-eyed to cope with breakfast prep? Make your way to the catering van for bargain bacon rolls and hot drinks; it’s also open on some evenings for burgers, chips, soup and the like. Easy access to food isn’t the only nod to comfort at this friendly site: hot showers are also available, and there’s a well-equipped communal shelter with a fridge-freezer, washing-up facilities and plenty of power points for gadget charging/hairdryer wielding/airbed pumping. Getting out’s a cinch from this handy location – Anglesey, the north coast beaches and Snowdonia National Park are all easily doable, as the A55 North Wales Expressway is a mere mile away.

不喜欢: Nothing against Camping site, just to say, that if you are sensitive sleeper, take ear plugs with you. Sheep's and birds will make your night sleepless. Sound from A55 acceptable.

喜欢: We really enjoy our stay, but this is not a campsite for everyone. If You wanna party all night long - find different spot. But if You looking quiet place - You will love this. + Pitch quality (grass) no problem to hook a tent with plastic pegs, terrain is mostly flat + Power sockets to recharge power bank or phone + Fridge and freezer available + Darkness in night - perfect for stargazing + Short distance to toilets/showers/dishwashing area + Nice, friendly hosts/owners + Fire pits + Hot food (limited choice) available on site (opening time is on display) + Calmness and quiet (playground is on side, so no screaming, kicking ball kids running next to tent) no music policy is working - nobody force own music taste for everyone. + Not far away from Rhyl, Prestatyn and north coast (15-20 minutes by car)

不喜欢: - Virtually no public transport there. If You wanna spend night at pub, or leave car on pitch, all buses (to Rhyl or Denbingh) are from City of St. Asaph 2,5 miles away. But if You walk there, this not make any sense to use buses, just because... there are Pubs/shops/takeaways as well. No shortcuts to go there because river Clwyd ;) - 4G network is around, but in "peak hours" - signal strenght fluctuate and is tricky to make stable connection. I've seen some guests walking across site with "phones up" trying to find anything. This is common problem in many popular/busy places - here A55 road has own contribution to this: how many people login same transmitter, at same time. So if You wanna watch streaming service - bad news, unless off-peak hours. This experience may vary depends on network.

喜欢: A lovely site ..low grass flat and secure ..lots of space ..the owners were pleasant .polite .and always asked if things were ok and ask if we needed help or advice..a quiet site on our few days but that was bliss...very clean toilets and hot water ..showers were hot and clean

喜欢: Clean and tidy. Nice warm showers. Clean toilets. Food available to purchase on site from a small burger van. Quite at night. Facilities to do washing up and fridge + freezer available to use.

You’ll be wanting to swing by St Asaph at some point – for supplies, for eats and drinks in the restaurants and bars, for river walks, for visits to the cathedral and/or for active times at the leisure centre, tennis courts and bowling green. Fishing types can pick up permits in town too before heading out to try their luck with the trout and salmon that swim in the Elwy and Clwyd rivers. Sunny day? The beaches of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Towyn are within a 15-20 minute drive, and Llandudno’s a half-hour away. Not so much? Head out to see sea beasties at the SeaQuarium (15 minutes’ drive) or land-dwelling ones at Welsh Mountain Zoo (20 minutes), or take off to the museums and shops of Chester (40 minutes) or Liverpool (an hour). Active types have plenty of options for walks in the Snowdonia National Park (40 minutes) or along the coast path in Anglesey, having stopped for obligatory pics of the nation’s longest station name in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll (40 minutes), of course. Golfers can play a round at the 18-hole courses at Rhuddlan, Abergele and Denbigh (all within a 10-minute drive).
