What a lot there is to do around this peaceful and secluded Mid Wales site a short hop from the Wales/England border. And you may well like to start with some fishing right there on Brook House Farm Camping and Caravan Site’s own stretch of the River Severn – in a lush countryside setting between Welshpool and Shropshire’s county town Shrewsbury. You may be meandering between countries on day trips but one constant in all this is the pristine views on site, with the park set in pretty countryside on the banks of the River Severn with buzzards and the occasional red kite soaring overhead. A spotlessly clean shower block is to hand for guests' use, along with a washing-up area on site. The site is based in the grounds of the Brook House Farm B&B, where you can have breakfast. Or tuck into nosh at the café, use the squeaky clean on-site kitchen, or hire a firepit to sizzle supper under the stars.

On all other dates it is open: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 9am to 4pm; Fridays from 9am until late; and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. It is closed on Mondays.

Great shop, and enjoyed my breakfast in their cafe. Free WiFi in cafe.

不喜欢 Arrived to find a 'Closed' sign, rang the two phone numbers with no reply. Eventually a man appeared and rang the owner who answered his call.
It appeared that their toilet/shower block had been burnt down a week before and the facilities contained of one builders portable toilet and one portable shower! We were not told about this in our booking and as we had no facilities in our campervan and the owner assumed we were in a caravan this wasn't ideal. A refund was i felt reluctantly offered. I never received the refund and my messages went unanswered.
Apart from not receiving a refund out of courtesy we should have been advised of the washing facilities etc when booking.
Disappointing to say the least!

Yes we have had a fire which has destroyed our shower block but we have got the one in the holiday let which people are using.
I tried to phone you earlier with no answer,to explain we were popping out to purchase the plaster for the new shower block.
When the gentleman who lives here,phoned me.We had a conversation regarding the portable toilet,that we would be back within half an hour and I would open up the holiday let which they could have sole use of for that evening.Which is newly all done out.
But you chose to leave before we got back.
Our new shower block will be all up and running by the end of this week 25 th/9.

喜欢 We had such a lovely stay at Brook house Farm Camping and Caravan Site in one of their glamping lodges. The location was beautiful and peaceful, and the host was so welcoming and friendly. The lodge itself was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable and warm, with ready-made beds, plenty of electric sockets, and tea/coffee facilities – everything you could need for a relaxing break.

The on-site bar was a real highlight too, serving delicious pizza on our visit and there was a great selection of drinks.

Overall, Brook house Farm Camping and Caravan Site was the perfect combination of comfort and nature, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable glamping or camping getaway.

喜欢 Camping pod was clean and tidy on arrival.

不喜欢 We booked a little last minute break away for the bank holiday and on arrival the host mentioned they recently had a fire so there was no shower block available and over 100 people would share I shower cubicle. The host mentioned it happened a few days ago but we found out it was at the start of August! Wouldn’t book again!

来自经理: Thank you for your review.Unfortunately our shower block went up in flames few days prior.I tried to contact everyone regarding this.Has it was bank holiday I only managed to get one shower cubicle and the holiday let shower was available from Sunday.5 portable toilets.The company cleaned them Friday and Sunday for us.
I also have offered everyone a free stay when our new block is up and running.
It is already up to having its roof on.
Has I stated to everyone it was beyond my control,and has you can see with the other reviews people wanted to come instead of cancelling there stay which I would of refunded.Sorry once again.

喜欢 The lodge was a lot more spacious than expected, with comfy beds and a futon. Great to have a decent size fridge and some kitchen amenities.

The site was lovely and peaceful, apart from our kids :) great field for them to play and really liked the potting shed and beer garden where we enjoyed a breakfast roll and afternoon drink.

Had to use portaloos and portashower due to the new ones being built but this was fine with us and they were always topped up with toilet roll and sanitizer.

Lace up your walking boots: with Brook House Farm midway between Welshpool and Shropshire’s county town Shrewsbury, it’s a shrewd place to stop to see the Shropshire Hills and Mid Wales on an active family hol. Shropshire has over 3500 miles’ worth of right of way paths for longer distance hikes and shorter strolls; the 210-mile Severn Way passes along nearby for taking a hike along it on a day trip or stopping off at Brook Farm if you’re attempting it all. The Offa’s Dyke Path can be accessed from here too: the very helpful Brook House Farm owners can arrange a shuttle bus for you to join the trail if you let them know in advance. For less tired feet, a plethora of outdoor pursuits within easy reach of the farm includes horse riding, mountain biking and golf; paragliding and lessons are available at nearby Rodney’s Pillar and the Long Mynd. Land some slippery characters by casting off on the River Severn: Brook House’s own stretch of river yields barbel into double figures, but there are shoals of other nearby spots to land salmon, trout and grayling. There are some commercial fisheries within 20 minutes’ drive to thrash things out at too, such as Weston Pool near Oswestry. Once you’ve cleaned off your catch and soothed your sore feet, jump into the car for some historical highlights: the medieval fortress Powis Castle with its famous French and Italian garden; Shrewsbury Castle with the Shropshire Regimental Museum Trust; the Red Castle and Grotto Hill of the 18th-century Hawkstone Historic Park & Follies, and the town of Shrewsbury, with over 600 listed buildings.
