喜欢 Beautiful parkland grounds.
Short walk into town.
Heated toilet block with plenty of hot water.

不喜欢 Has a slightly run down feel but although dated the toilet block we used was clean and had a fresh coat of paint.

喜欢 Very tidy site with exceptionally clean facilities.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Choice of pitches.
Good location, with a short walk into Peebles centre.
Grounds well cared for, short mown grass and lovely mature trees to sit under or admire.

不喜欢 If I was to be very picky, I would say that shower blocks were a little tired. However the block I used was spotlessly clean, warm, and everything worked as it should.

喜欢 The site is located on the northern edge of Peebles. Approaching from the south and driving through Peebles may be challenging if you have a big rig. Careless parking and narrow streets demands care! Peebles itself is about a 10 minute walk from the site. Glentress forest along with all the MTB facilities are only 3 miles distant. The site itself is quite pretty with expansive green areas with mature trees. The staff I met were friendly and helpful.
This is not a site I would rush back too, but it is convenient for Glentress and the surround areas.

不喜欢 The site does have a few negatives: the toilet blocks being the worst. While they were smell free and seemed reasonably clean the facilities looked almost 100 years old. The shower basin has a non-slip mat which I slipped on! After removing the mat to shower I found a number of large beetles hiding beneath the mat. There was a good water flow from the shower, but not hot enough for me. Dishwashing facilities are located inside the toilet area, which doesn't seem like a good idea.
The van pitches could be better marked, maybe with pegs in the ground. Some pitches have (not very pretty) concrete patio area which make it almost impossible to erect a small awning. Some pitches appear to suffer from water logging.
The fresh water tap is located in a concrete structure which, with a filling hose, means you will need to be able to lift your water barrel over a 20cm lip. My wife was unable to do this.
In reception I was presented with quite a long list of 'can't do' rules. Even more than the notorious CAMC club rules. I get that rules are required, but how they are presented could be better. The paperwork handed to me with the list of rules and basic site information could have usefully included a site map to.

I couldn't see any children's play area on the site or any WiFi. Decent 5G for EE.

I believe this site is owned by an investment company who could improve the site with some investment.

Overall, I think its poor value for money, especially compared to other sites that offer better facilities.

喜欢 Peaceful and leafy location
Showers dated but clean and hot

不喜欢 No grey waste disposal. We were offered a normal storm drain but couldn’t get the Motorhome close enough without causing a lot of leakage into the street

喜欢 Good facilities, clean and well kept, even if dated. Close to Peebles and lots of lovely walks nearby.

不喜欢 Was a bit quiet whilst we were there, not many other vans around.
