Loch Ness Highland Resort

喜欢 Great site for exploring Loch Ness and very close to the village for everything you need. Big shout out to Frankie who provided a very warm welcome upon arrival and provided some very useful local info. Having a great customer experience really makes the difference. Thanks Frankie. Also, good restaurant onsite ( great portions) and the kids loved the playground. Site for campervans was basic but toilets and showers were very clean. Very peaceful

不喜欢 Only issue , and this is being picky, is that the motorhome/campervan area was a little bit away from main area ( toilets were close though). Just meant i couldnt let children go to playground and stay with van. But it really wasnt a major issue.

喜欢 A good location and good facilities which were clean. A short 10 minutes walk to the town with takeaways, gift shops and pubs.

不喜欢 Despite being very quite when we stayed the toilets ran out of toilet paper by morning

喜欢 Clean facilities, wide pitch, easy electric hook up and access to chemical waste disposal.

Lovely staff on arrival. Water top up and grey waste disposal not so easy but fine to do on exit.

不喜欢 Water for washing up was tepid!

喜欢 The property was very easy to find, and the hosts were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent just a two-minute walk to Loch Ness, making it perfect for tours, photos, and enjoying the scenery. There are some lovely cafés nearby as well as one on site, which made things very convenient.

The site itself is family-friendly, with a play park available for children, which was a real bonus. Overall, a great place to stay with a welcoming atmosphere, ideal for both exploring the area and relaxing afterwards.

不喜欢 The motorhome pitches were a bit of a longer walk to the resturant than other parks but this is being really picky

喜欢 Great site, spacious pitches and I gre at location to walk into Fort Augustus.
Staff were very friendly!

不喜欢 Not so much a dislike but if the site was at full capacity the showers would have been an issue as there are only 3 showers.

喜欢 The grounds are in very good level condition very easy to get parked up in the large pitches. The young lady on the desk upon arrival was very friendly and VERY helpful, i requested a pitch a tad closer to the shower block. This was not an issue for the lady. The toilet and shower blocks wer very clean and regularly cleaned. The site is a very short walk to fort augustus. Which is a very nice village. We even got to see the loch's do there thing. Didnt see nessie. But learned alot about the history of both the loch and nessie!

不喜欢 We went for food at the on site restaurant. Personally we were very disapointed!! My wifes chilli was more like a plate of winalot with rice! Burnt chilli does not look or taste good. I ordered the venison and haggis burger with chips. It was on the specials board. And now i know why! The burger was not enjoyable and actually looked like a frozen farmfoods burger if im honest. Needless to say it tasted nothing like venison. The haggis was ok but just dolloped on the top. The manager was mortified, when he asked how the food was. He was very apologetic.

喜欢 The bar and restaurant looked nice, however we arrived too late and they had stopped serving food.

不喜欢 The shower/toilet facilities were basic and there weren’t enough for the number of campers.

喜欢 The views and layout on the site!

不喜欢 The shower blocks. 2 toilets locked (probably because there were not many pitches booked). But the other toilets no loo roll! The showers, nothing dry to stand on, a simple raised mat in rubber would suffice. And if you want a warm/hot shower be prepared to take your time. The minute you want warm there is zero pressure! So a little dribble. The bins were filled to the limit so hard to stay tidy! As there were hardly anyone staying it seems like they don't check the bins regularly.
