Oban Holiday Park

喜欢 The easy access to Oban, the beaches, the water. The shop is well stocked, the campsite was lovely, with nice secluded areas to pitch although we were not in an electric pitch. The staff were helpful and friendly. Good play park for kids.

不喜欢 The shower blocks could have been cleaner, they regularly blocked. The pitch sites were on slight hills which meant you had to get the right spot to pitch.

喜欢 the green color of the grass

喜欢 Peaceful site with good toilets and showers. Nice area for dog walking and park for children.

不喜欢 No set pitch so if you went off the site in your motor home you either had to leave something behind or have a different pitch every day. The water had to be boiled before drinking. No privacy from others. Free WiFi only near reception.

喜欢 Nice views and relatively quiet site where you can choose your own spot from a select of areas on the site. Particularly enjoyed the Highland cows wandering by in the morning.

喜欢 The ground was nice and level

不喜欢 Disappointed that there were no disabled facilities. No mains water to fill up the motorhome tank. Steep steps to the tiolets with no handrails. I thought that £35 was a bit steep for it's facilities. Wont be visiting again. Very narrow road not really suitable for motorhomes and caravans.

喜欢 Location peaceful and quite, ideal for ferry terminal.

不喜欢 Didn’t see anyone who worked there.

喜欢 Easy going place. No one bothers you. Quiet. Very close to the ferry to Kerrera which is worth a visit. Nice views. About a mile out of Oban on single track road.

不喜欢 Not actually a dislike. However you should know that the camping facilities are very basic. Only two toilets and wash basins but clean. One dishwashing sink. There is a basic kitchen with a microwave. Field is a slight slope. Not connected to the water supply so no safe clean water is available. Water is direct from the hills.
At £25 pn for non electric camping pitch it is a bit pricey.

喜欢 It was close to the ferry port.

不喜欢 This was by far the worst site we have ever stayed at in Scotland! The touring pitches are on a hill. Its like you are basically parking in an uneven field with no marked out pitch. We had concerns about getting stuck as it was very wet in parts and our motorhome was sinking into the mud. The pathways are limited so we were trudging through wet grass/mud to get to the toilet block. The water supply is from a spring so you can't drink it. The shower water was running through brown so we were glad it was only a one night stay. No wifi or phone signal. It needs some serious upgrading for tourers...definitely won't ever be back.
