Honeysuckle Homestead

喜欢 Greeted on arrival and shown to my pitch, the facilities and where I could walk my dog. My pitch did have a little tree for shade which was cute and I liked that.
The field next to the site was great to let my dog have a run around in the evening (once it had cooled off)

不喜欢 Right on a busy train line, I know this is not the owners fault but it would have been nice to have known before arriving as my dog can be sensitive to traffic noise, thankfully she was ok this time but did wake up throughout the night when trains went past. There is nothing in the sites description about it.

The facilities are there were dirty, not well kept and it all could do with a refresh honestly. There is black mould in the wet rooms, dirty mop buckets around and the wash sink was scaled/dirty and not up to standard. The shower had a leak and sprayed everywhere!! if I’d not already paid £26 for the night I would have left.

I have been to sites and paid half the amount I did for one night and the facilities have been 100times better in my opinion.

不喜欢 Noise from trains

喜欢 Friendly owners, shown to pitch and facilities.
Lovely walks straight from site all on national trust. Close to pub and shop.
Free WiFi which was pretty good.

不喜欢 Only 1 shower and 1 female and 1 male toilet.
Does looking they are building more. Abit of waiting especially first thing in the morning.
Site right on train track. They go past regularly but only during the day.

喜欢 Small site, next to lovely fields. Good shower/wet room.

不喜欢 The site is adjacent to a railway cutting, with trains passing throughout the day and late at night. One gets used to the noise.

喜欢 Owner very friendly and helpful. lovely site with good open countryside. Very quiet

不喜欢 nothin

喜欢 Location. Small site.

喜欢 A very nice quiet site, yes there is a railway line but the trains are about every hour and does not disturb the quiet there.

Lots of space for walking the dog if you need that

Clean toilets and shower rooms, and there is a washing machine if needed you just need to donate some money to contribute to maintaining it.

This is our 3rd time there and will go again.

不喜欢 Myself and my husband arrived a few hours before our two families. We had all booked and paid deposit. The owner explained everything well and showed us where our families could pitch when they arrived. Our two families arrived together and I waved them on through. Within minutes the owner walked up to us very unhappy complaining about a tent we had put up for one of our families and that they didn’t call at reception. We apologised explained about the tent but I am afraid she would not be appeased. The discussion became heated the children all watched and were quite confused as were we. The whole experience was very upsetting and we decided to leave immediately. So we took our tent down put the food we had cooked for the families in our cars and found another campsite. I would not go back to this campsite again. If you do DO NOT fail to call at reception

喜欢 Gorgeous veiw, huge pitches. Peaceful.

不喜欢 Not a dislike really but one toilet per sex and one shower, though the shower room was a good size with a toilet and sink, obviously many people wanting tonuse it at the same time meant waiting or going without.

喜欢 Quiet, small site, views, great facilities. Lovely owner/host
