添加您的业务详细信息What a splendid location for a Somerset glamping stay – you could barely be any closer to Blagdon Lake unless you had your feet in the water. Pixie Bell Tents is in the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the Nempnett Thrubwell side of the lake, around 10 minutes’ drive from the shops and pubs in Blagdon village.
As you’d expect from such a pretty location, this area is top outdoor activity territory, with all sorts of trails around for walks and bike rides and fishing available on the lake. Days out are easily accessible too, with Bath, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole all within striking distance.
And the tents are equally lovely, set up in a large and well-kept meadow with access to a small woodland area that’s been kitted out with solar lights and a firepit for cosy outdoor evenings. You can bring your own charcoal/wood-burning firepit if you prefer but they’ll only be allowed in the designated area.
Each of the furnished tents has a double bed (bedding supplied) and two singles (bring your own bedding) but there’s no electricity so it’s a good idea to come along armed with your own lighting and a way to charge your phone if needed. (Wellies and waterproofs are also a good idea if you’re heading here outside of high summer – it can get a tad boggy in the meadow after very heavy rain). Music is permitted but only if it doesn't upset your neighbours and is turned off after 11pm.
Close to the tents are the shared facilities: a toilet/shower block (with flush loos and a hot shower), a small outdoor cooking area with gas hob and a cold-water washing-up area.

Once you’ve taken a walk around the lake (and perhaps seen what sort of fish you can hook out of the waters), it’s time to explore more of your Somerset surroundings. If you’re after spectacular scenery, plan days out at the soaring cliffs of Cheddar Gorge and the underground caverns of Wookey Hole (both 25 minutes’ drive away).
All sorts of city sights are within easy reach here too: aim for the gorgeous Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge and Roman Baths in Bath (40 minutes), wander around the dinky city of Wells (half an hour) or explore the museums and waterfront in Bristol (35 minutes).
Elsewhere, there are independent shops and intriguing attractions galore in Glastonbury (40 minutes), or you can grab yourselves a seaside day (complete with a pier, donkey rides, fish and chips and various watersports) in Weston-super-Mare (35 minutes).
