Check out those views… True to its name, Seaview Farm is right on the Jurassic Coast, with stunning views out over Chesil Beach and the Fleet Lagoon. You could quite possibly sit and stare at those views for many hours here (and if you choose to do that, you may be pleased to know that you’re welcome to spark up a barbecue for cooking and keeping warm while you watch the sunset over the sea). Not content with sitting still? This is a cracking location for walkers in particular: footpaths lead off from the farm in all directions, including one that heads off down towards the South West Coast Path and beyond to the Isle of Portland. A supermarket, a clutch of takeaways and several pubs are within walking distance too. You could, in fact, ditch the car for much of your stay at this Dorset site: there’s a bus stop a short walk away for jaunts around the area by public transport. If you are driving, however, you can get to Weymouth town centre and beach with a journey of less than 10 minutes, to Durdle Door or West Bay in about half an hour, or inland to the Cerne Abbas Giant in a similar amount of time. This is a wild-style stay with pitches on a spacious and slightly sloping field accessed via a track. There are no electrical connections here, but guests will have access to water, regularly serviced portable toilets and showers.

Toilets clean and not smelling bad

喜欢 Fab location-beautiful views. Allows log fires as long as off the ground. Ice cream van came on to site and catering truck available at weekend. Very spacious!

不喜欢 No water to wash hands at toilets and no sinks to clean teeth or wash at. Water pressure level very low so very slow filling up water containers also got busy and was very frustrating when wanted water for my morning tea. Washing up facilities not good-no hot water and pipe kept coming apart.

喜欢 Scenic and peaceful location.
Ice cream van visit

不喜欢 Water pressure for washing up / hand washing was really poor.
Most toilets had spider webs that looked weeks old, there was plenty of door slamming as people searched for a spider free loo.

喜欢 The view! Beautiful. Close to beaches. Close to shops. Not far from coastal path

不喜欢 Our child had three ticks on her so we left a day early, I feel like had I known this we would not have booked as we've never had this despite camping for many years.
The tractor came to empty the portaloo toilets at breakfast time and it was not very pleasant.
Bottom gate is locked so in this heat if there is a fire and the tiny entrance is inaccessible I'm unsure how we would escape if at lower end of field, I didn't see any fire points. (heatwave)

I'm sorry to hear your child picked up ticks during your stay. As a rural campsite surrounded by fields, hedgerows and wildlife, ticks are a natural part of the countryside and are not something that campsites can control or eradicate.

Our toilet facilities do need to be serviced regularly to maintain hygiene standards for all guests. The servicing is carried out by the external company from whom we hire the toilets, so we do not have control over the exact time they attend.

I'd also like to reassure future guests regarding the fire safety concerns raised. The lower gate is kept locked in accordance with our planning permission requirements, as explained in the pre-arrival information sent to all guests. In the event of an emergency, the gate can be unlocked immediately. Designated fire points and emergency information are also clearly included in the information emailed to every guest before arrival.

Great time and always accommodating.

喜欢 Beautiful location. Very basic but in a good location. Loved the open top shower!! Owners very friendly and helpful. It was very hot when we arrived and they allowed us to move our pitch to one with some shade.

不喜欢 Nothing. Although it was extremely hot and the site is very exposed, very little shade and can get windy! Not the owners fault as they don’t control the weather! :)

You’re bound to want to explore the Dorset coastline a little further once you’ve spied the sea from the site, so set off for a stroll along the coast path or plot a course to Weymouth (10 minutes’ drive) to play on the sand or meet the marine creatures at the Sea Life Centre. A couple of Dorset’s main icons – Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door – are about half an hour away by car, but there are plenty of quieter corners around to visit too. If you’re keen to give your hiking boots a good workout, start with a wander around the Hardy Monument or explore trails in the Valley of Stones National Nature Reserve (both 10 minutes’ drive). Mix in a bit of history as you walk with outings to Portland Castle or Jordan Hill Roman Temple (both 15 minutes) or get up close to the Cerne Giant (half an hour). For more days out, try Abbotsbury (15 minutes) for the swannery and subtropical gardens or Dorchester (20 minutes) for the dinosaur and teddy bear museums and Maiden Castle fort.
