Ringstead Bay Camping

喜欢: We throughly enjoyed our stay at this site.
We were a little optimistic as there were no reviews but we are so so glad we braved it.

We were greeted by the owners who were VERY friendly and we felt so welcome.
The toilet, washing facitilies were great too.

We enjoyed a walk along the beach and an ice cream at the reef cafe too.

There were lockable lockers to securely charge phones which was brilliant and not something I have seen at any other site we have been too.

Thank you for such a brilliant stay, we will definitely be returning :-)

喜欢: Large field with a great view, very quiet and easy access both from roads and coastal path. Nice toilet and shower facilities.

喜欢: The large space, the view, the quite, the remoteness yet easy access, the cleanliness, the essential provisions, the friendly and welcoming staff.

The lockable lockers to securely charge phones what a great idea.

不喜欢: Nothing, only the ground condition but they already have plans to remedy that.

喜欢: We stayed in the bell tent provided. It was a headless free way of camping which was awesome. We also couldn’t fit our normal tent in the car. The toilets and showers were cleaned regularly and the campsite was near the beach and a lovely beach cafe which was very quaint. The big open field gave our kids the freedom to run around and kick a ball around. There was plenty of space around the bell tent which allowed adequate space for our table an chairs.

不喜欢: The grass was course and made it a bit tricky when playing on it. But this is understandable as it was previously a crop field and you could see the ridges from previously being plowed.
The fridge and freezer was quite a walk from the camp site but not a deal breaker.

喜欢: The location is amazing. A good distance from main roads, the kids had a huge area to explore without worrying about them. A few minutes walk through woodland to reach the beach, they spent hours rooting through the rocks for fossils. The facilities were clean and the ladies running it were lovely. The field was huge with loads of flat areas despite the hilly surroundings. The ground was a tad lumpy which is to be expected from farmland. Our kids had the best weekend speeding around the tracks on their bikes. A great spot if you’re happy whiling away the hours with a campfire and a view of the sea. Oh and the showers were fantastic: fast, hot and plenty of water blasting the campfire smell away 😄 For their opening weekend that we camped, they nailed it!

不喜欢: The only thing that I can complain about was that the gents only had two toilets (and 3 urinals). Plenty for small numbers during the day, but first thing in the morning was a different matter. Another one or two unisex toilets might have been good, as the ladies had 5 toilets. But still clean and regularly cleaned.
