喜欢 Beautiful peaceful location with gorgeous views over the valley. I got up to watch (and photograph) the sunrise and it didn’t disappoint. Clean toilets and showers. Lovely staff. Great hot showers with good water pressure. Thought the honesty shop for firewood was great although didn’t need to use it this time.

不喜欢 The fact I had to go home :(

喜欢 Wonderful quiet location with amazing views. Lovely reception hut with all visitor information , loved the chickens, pigs & sheep .Toilets and showers great very Eco friendly .

喜欢 The facilities (toilets, showers and washing up stations) were basic but very well-kept and -working, you don't need more than that. This is a good place for people who like to connect with nature and spend some nice and quiet moments. You will find no bar, shops or playground noises here so you can sit back, relax and take in the view.
We like:
The view! Nature, peace (no road noise), cleanliness, easy check in and check out, full signal reception, lots of space, leveled pitches with soft ground to stick the pegs, the walled shelter (bushes) are a good cover against wind, possibility to hire the fire pits :)

喜欢 The camping area was well laid out and clearly signed.
The toilet and shower facilities were nice and clean.
The views were wonderful.
It was a lovely quiet place to stay.

不喜欢 The only thing I disliked was the fact that the grass has recently been cut (which was a good thing), but the cut grass was not collected up, so I and my dog trailed grass wherever we went! However, it is a working farm, so I can’t expect pristine lawns!

喜欢 Despite not being that far from the road this place is lovely and quiet. Others have mentioned the dawn chorus; we got a robin so close to our heads he may as well have been a hotel reception!

There were two large fields to chose from, and the low pitch/site count means you can have plenty of space from anyone else. Everything is doubled up: wash stations, showers, and compost toilets my kid was fascinated by. He also loved the repurposed horse box for recycling, and the old equipment decorating the place. The chickens and pigs were a delight to chat to.

The reception hut is for signing in, buying wood or renting a firepit, and gives enough info to get you settled. The hosts like to visit in the evening, but it absolutely tipped it down, so we don't blame them for not making the treck. We found a spot, settled in, and had a lovely night.

The view of the valley was quite beautiful, and we did manage to spot some hares in the field below.

There aren't any attractions within walking distance, we knew this going in, but it would have been nice to see more of the farm. The signs say to keep to the camp site as it is a working farm, which we did, but a cordoned off walk around a couple of the quieter fields would have been a nice addition - especially for kids with a lot of energy to burn.

The forecast gave light rain but it tipped it down. The wind was meant to gust at about 25mph, but I have camped in gale conditions and I've never hears wind like this. It sounded like crashing ocean waves! Highly recommended if you're a kind of 'no bad weather' person.
