They say an Englishman’s (motor)home is his castle – so when choosing where to brake, you’ll want a spot fit for a king. Castle Brake Holiday Park in east Devon should pass muster: it’s a smart, family-run park within the heathland of Woodbury Common, ideally placed for an invasion of Exeter and the sought-after sands of the Jurassic Coast. The facilities are splendid: a spotless, cedar-clad amenities block with underfloor heating and family bathrooms; a laundry room; the Castle Inn bar and restaurant for homemade nosh using local ingredients (takeaways are also available); a play area; and ample space for a peaceful stroll and a bit of wildlife spotting. (Please note that the bar and restaurant are not open every evening during low season.) Castle Brake Holiday Park is within half an hour's walk of the village of Woodbury, which has a handful of good pubs and shops, or it’s an easy ride into Exeter for anything else you might need.

喜欢 All the Staff I came across were very helpful, The whole park was well maintained, Clean and tidy. If you have kids they have a sister site with swimming pool that you can have use of.

喜欢 The site was very clean. Staff were very helpful. Location was perfect. Toilet and shower block was immaculate. Park was brilliant and my son loved it. Everyone we met was friendly and we chatted to a few people who also said the site was amazing. The food on site was very very nice and good value for money.

喜欢 A very well maintained and facilitated campsite. The shower block is very clean, same as the toilet. We stayed with two kids, very short walk from the tent pitching area to the facilities. Very friendly staff at the reception. It was a pity that we didn't try the well commented on site restaurent as there are quite a lot good restaurants/pubs nearby, but we will try it next time.

10 out of 10, well deserved.

Definite will go back. Problem is it seems the site is very popular, so book when you find the availability.
