If y'all would like some suggestions on what to see and do when scooting around the Lizard, ask the clan at Little Trethvas Holidays. Convivial owners Liz and Mike have been camping on this cracking Cornish peninsula for over 20 years and know very much what's what re where to go in the region, as well as what guests might like on a site. All these marks of good travelling taste are on a small, natural-looking site two miles from Lizard Point and Cadgwith fishing village and three miles from Mullion village; the site is also accessible from the South West Coast Path (just off the lane) and within walking distance of fair Kynance Cove. There are six toilets and five showers in the bathroom block, plus six drinking water taps around the site. Also on hand are a revamped and undercover washing-up area, washing machine, tumble dryer, outdoor drying area and a fridge and freezer for guests' use. Little Trethvas also has a tourist information room with a local attractions board updated daily – and if you want some more specific info, Liz and Mike just might be able to let you know.

喜欢 We loved the quirkiness and free roaming birds. It’s a small site with a very friendly feel. Perfect for a relaxing trip away . The hosts were very helpful and approachable. We will be booking again!

不喜欢 Zwischen virtueller Darstellung und Realität klafft eine sehr sehr große Lücke. Die inzwischen Europäischer Hygiänestandarts werden komplett ignoriert. Es fing an mit verdreckten sanitären Anlagen mit müllablagerungen auf dem gesamten Campingplatz , ungepflegter Platz Ansich. Alte abgestellte Fahrzeuge verrottete gasflaschen verrostete und vergammelte Waschmaschine sowie Trockner wo man seine Wäsche nicht reinlegen mag . Die Entsorgung von den Chemie Toiletten war nicht möglich da mit Brombeeren und Brennnessel zugewachsen . Die Türen zu den sanitären Anlagen bergen ein hohes Risiko.

喜欢 Chickens! The place was lovely and very welcoming! Lovely showers amazing compared to others. And just very friendly very family run vibes.

不喜欢 I shouldn’t have left! It was only a passing stop before moving on else where I wish I stayed longer!

喜欢 The pitches were spacious, the site was quiet and family friendly. The chickens were really cute. The facilities were really useful, as was the host.
The showers were clean and easy to use as well as being hot.

不喜欢 Had to pay for the hairdryer, the showers were push button, which was a minor inconvenience.

Our pitch was in the corner, which meant we were in the shade of the trees for the majority of the day... not what you want on an August summer day!

喜欢 Site managers were laid back, helpful and friendly. Lovely set up for tents with a large area to pitch and the middle of the field is kept free for families to enjoy. Very peaceful and quiet after 10pm. Ps cockerals wake you at dawn so take earplugs if you are not an early riser. 😉

不喜欢 Electric supply was not set up as the cable connector was missing. Luckily we had an extra long extension connection. I suggest they should charge a deposit for the cables. Utility area was great and includes a washer, fridge and freezers but they need to be part of a regular clean as heavily used and campers leave stuff that goes out of date. I cleaned them but that was my choice. 👍

喜欢 Lovely location, not too far from Kynance Cove and Lizard’s Point.
Lovely beach, Kennack Sands, just a few miles away
Good facilities, no one had to wait for a shower or a toilet.
Very lovely, friendly owners, who were happy to help with any queries.
Good value for a summer holiday week.

You'll be on the beach, cliffs and along the South West Coast Path first, probably… and after that, there's loads to do around Little Trethvas Holidays, from fishing and sailing to horse riding and off-road biking. As with much/most of Cornwall, the surf is pretty spectacular around this part of coast too, but it's quieter here than more famed surf spots like Newquay: try Kennack Sands or the surf school at Poldhu Cove. Kids will likely have a hoot at Gweek's Cornish Seal Sanctuary; Falmouth Maritime Museum and the 650 birds and animals of the Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary at Hayle should also be hits. One of the most popular places to stop off around the Lizard is the country's tip at Land's End – be sure to get your pic snapped at the iconic signpost – and another is most lovely St Michael's Mount, the tiny island with medieval church and castle, reached across the water from Marazion.
