喜欢 The campsite was well set out, nice big pitches, lovely trees and plants throughout. Within walking distance of Bude Town.

不喜欢 Bins overflowing in the toilets, cold showers, outside sink was filthy (campers did not clear their food waste)

The lady who checked us in was friendly but found the other management team blunt or a little rude.

Toilets & Showers:
Toilet Paper regularly changed but the toilet blocks themselves weren't cleaned and some of the sinks had one working tap. The flush button on the toilets working but broken.

Overall:
OK for an overnight stay or two. For the price we paid, their is another campsite we stayed at the last time we were in the area and for the same price it had better facilities and cleanliness. I wouldn't recommend if staying in a tent.

喜欢 The site was lovely with trees separating the pitches. Very rustic. Complaints about the showers and toilets are untrue as they were great for us. As a rustic site, they match the ambiance. The staff were very helpful.

喜欢 Location was very close to bude town and beaches via the park and ride bus. Also close to main shops like Morrisons, Lidl, B&M if you forget anything like we did and had to get to a shop quickly. Also very close to the monster slip and slide if you have kids.

The site itself was laid out very easily, on site play park for kids, pitch was a great size.

Plenty of toilets and showers - having read previous reviews I was worried about this and honestly not at all as bad as some reviews I read before booking (I am very glad we didn’t take them too seriously) - they were well stocked and cleaned throughout the day. There was hot water for washing up and plenty of sinks for size of site.

不喜欢 The music from the circus was very loud. It’s not on late at all but if you have young ones going to sleep any time before 10pm then it wasn’t great.

Not a lot the campsite can do about that but perhaps warn people at booking or an email before arrival would have been good.

喜欢 Campsite is a great location and a short drive to popular destination such as Tintangel castle, Boscastle harbour, Summerleaze beach/sea pool.

Campsite is well kept with gardeners seen most days maintaining the site. Quiet site.

I was spectacle of the toilets/showers after reading review but they were actually ok. They are basic and the showers are a bit temperamental with temperature - one night at about 10:30 there was no water at all unsure as to why.

不喜欢 Only downside is we towed for 7 hours, rang about possibly an early arrival as we arrived ahead of time, was told could check in at about 1. Arrived at that time to be told that they are having dinner and to come back at 2.
So we felt a bit messed around.

喜欢 Location to the most visited places in Cornwall.
Huge pitch area - enough for our tent and gazebo. We were lucky not many were pitching in our pitch area, so we had the space to ourselves and enjoyed the privacy. I’m just not sure during peak season when camp site is almost full - as pitch areas are numbered. You might have people to both sides and to your front pitch.

不喜欢 Not very clean toilets / showers, although I understand it is the responsibility of each camper to clean after each use. Area would have been better to have regular checks / cleaning of facilities. The toilet doors / walls have cobwebs, etc.

不喜欢 Worse site we have ever had the misfortune to book. The word basic doesn't cover this, the conditions are at best primitive.
On arrival there was an old chap on reception who didnt have a clue what day it was let alone what he was doing, even asked me to find my name on his paperwork, couldn't read it himself, also told us we had to buy special chemicals for the toilet because they have a septic tank.
There were 4 wooden shacks , supposedly toilets, the dirtiest we have ever seen. No hand soap or toilet paper in any of them and a very strong smell of wee in all of them.. Absolutely filthy. 4 showers that are permanently cold, dirty, full of ivy and mud. Toilets and showers never cleaned,the instructions from site are " if you have your own facilities ( toilet) then please use them! Surely the facilities are what you are paying for!
Also the information on pitch up about this site says its a 25 minute walk down the side of the canal to Bude. Its minimum 45 minutes, more like 1 hour.
The route to the park and ride involves crossing the very busy A39 road, dodging the constant traffic and then walking down the road on the grass verge to catch the bus. Not for the faint hearted. Reception staff not helpful at all, not interested in any questions we had.
Finally a member of staff was having a bonfire burning grass cutting and rubbish with toxic smoke blowing over the whole site. Very bad idea in these tinder dry conditions.
We were booked for 2 nights but only stayed for 1 night and paid for a pitch on a different site which couldn't have been more welcoming. This site is not value for money, its run down, dirty and woefully inadequate and needs complete updating and a thorough clean. We will not be returning and would not recommend it to anyone .

As a long-established campsite, we aim to offer a simple countryside camping experience at a fair and sensible price, and many of our guests return to us year after year.

We would, however, like to correct a number of inaccuracies in your review. At reception, we asked you to identify your name on the arrivals list only because we were having difficulty hearing you clearly. This was not due to any confusion over your booking.

We also provide the appropriate eco-friendly toilet chemicals because, like many campsites in rural areas, we operate with a septic tank system.

Your description of the facilities is not accurate. We have 5 showers and 6 toilets available for campers, and these are stocked with hand soap and toilet roll dispensers. Guests are not instructed to use their own toilet facilities instead of the campsite amenities.

We were sorry that no concerns were raised with us during your stay, as this would have given us the opportunity to investigate and address them immediately.

We would also like to clarify that the walk into Bude is typically around 20–25 minutes and is clearly signposted. The route to the park and ride does not require guests to walk along the road as described in your review.

Finally, we must firmly dispute the statement that a member of staff was burning grass or rubbish on site, as this did not happen.

We appreciate that not every campsite will suit every guest, but we do ask that reviews remain fair and factual. We are proud to have welcomed returning visitors for the past 16 years and will continue to provide a straightforward, good-value camping experience for those who enjoy this type of stay.

喜欢 Location only there for 3 nights

不喜欢 Toilet and shower facilities poor. Initially no soap or hand drying resources. Soap did appear. Locks on doors not great no separate mens women's toilets.
No proper sanitary bins in toilets some open bins so pads and tampons visible. Showers fluctuates between cold ad warm but pot wash sink was scolding. Lots of junk around site that could be binned or disposed of.
