River View Camping and Caravans

喜欢 We loved the friendly atmosphere and we were greeted by the wonderful Claire. Camping by the river was idyllic. We are normally wild campers so the lack of showers wasn't a problem. The logs came with kindling and firelighters and at £8 a bag were far cheaper than other sites we have been to. For us coming in on foot, the closeness of the train station was a big help, and the walk into Yalding with its Post Office Bakery and convenient shops was great. Sharing the field with the 2 fattest sheep we have ever seen was also a bonus! We have already booked our next stay there.

不喜欢 Nothing,

喜欢 Gorgeous riverside setting, laid back and peaceful. Back to basics camping but secure with toilets, drinking water, fire pits and manned by friendly owners.

不喜欢 A small improvement would be access to river could be improved, the small access area got very busy and was a bit tricky to get in and out of SUPs and canoes. A ladder or rope ladder would help swimmers access and exit safely too.

喜欢 Wow, what a fab site. Clare was so friendly and helpful. We had a riverside pitch, it was so peaceful. The campsite was chilled and we had a brilliant break. We took advantage of the glorious weather and clean river and spent most of our time either on or in it! Lots of kayaks, paddleboarders and swimmers. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

不喜欢 It wasn’t a dislike - more of a comment - a platform or a better means of getting in and out of the river would be great. But this wouldn’t stop us coming back! We loved it.

喜欢 Peaceful location, right on the river, pub and café nearby, really clean beautiful bell tent perfectly equipped Clare was very helpful and welcoming really secure and safe

不喜欢 No showers, but there is one nearby

喜欢 The location is lovely and pitches very well maintained. Clare and Don were really friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come again, maybe do some fishing next time.

不喜欢 Showers would been a nice inclusion. But we only stayed 2 nights, so not a necessity.

喜欢 We had a fantastic weekend! My dad stayed 2 nights in his campervan, I stayed 1 night in a tent with 2 kids and my sister stayed 1 night in a tent with her husband and 2 kids.

The river access is absolutely brilliant! It is sheltered and perfect for paddle boarding. We had so much fun jumping, swimming and boating!

There were plenty of toilets and it was a busy but relaxing and nice atmosphere. We made friends and shared our boats. We borrowed a little fire pit.

The site is secure and safe. There's a little play area for kids in the trees and a washing up station. There's also 2 sheep! It's nothing too flashy but its absolutely brilliant!

喜欢 Absolutely beautiful site, plenty of space for myself, kids and grandkids to camp together. Had a wonderful time paddle boating and swimming in the river.

不喜欢 Could do with better access to river as I am disabled but love wild swimming,

喜欢 The spacious pitches right by the river were perfect! And fire pits allowed made our nights even more enjoyable! Such a beautiful site, really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of toilets and drinking water access, the only downfall was no shower facilities, but for just a weekend stay it was fantastic! Clare and her team were amazing, made our stay perfect, thank you so much!

喜欢 We stayed at this campsite over the Summer Solstice weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Despite it being a busy time of year, the site never felt overcrowded. There was plenty of space between pitches, and the overall layout really allowed everyone to enjoy their stay without feeling cramped.

We were lucky enough to have a riverside pitch, which was absolutely lovely. The river brought a constant stream of gentle activity throughout the weekend—kayakers, paddle boarders, and the peaceful sound of water made it feel like a mini retreat in nature.

The facilities were in fantastic condition—clean, well-maintained, and clearly cared for. It really added to the comfort of the stay.

And with the weather turning up the heat, it was the perfect way to spend a scorcher of a weekend. We’ll definitely be coming back!
