For a peaceful holiday spot in south-eastern Kent, take a look at Romney Meadows Caravan and Camping Park, a mile and a half outside the small town of New Romney. Guests staying here have access to gorgeous green fields, footpaths, beaches, nature reserves and the Cinque Ports towns within a few minutes' drive or cycle. This small and well-maintained campsite has all the basic modern facilities you would expect, plus a few extras like a well-equipped shared kitchen and a wifi hotspot that all guests are welcome to use. This is a quiet and considerate spot for restful stays where kids, dogs and barbecues are all welcome. The local landscape is full of history: once buried under the English Channel, this area became an important Roman port, before becoming a smuggler's haven in the 18th century and playing a major role in the Napoleonic Wars. 喜欢 It was perfect for our stay, facilities were clean and tidy. The owners were very welcoming told us all we needed to know where everything was. Let us chose where we wanted to stay the night very accommodating.

喜欢 My dog and I stayed here this weekend and had a lovely time ! Reception team were so welcoming on arrival. I was asked where I would like to park up and they offered me pitches near the facilities that were shown to me, laundry room, kitchen, washing up area, toilets and showers. I was guided to my chosen spot. I was told about a walk that I could take my dog for a walk that is just off of the campsite around a farmers field. Campsite was so clean and tidy loved the added touch of a radio/music being played in the toilet/shower area.
We had breakfast at "Nikki D's cafe" where I had the best English breakfast, perfect portion, and served hot ! My dog was also given a free sausage for brekkie too so for that he also gives the cafe a 10000/10 😂 thank you for a wonderful stay! I will definitely come back again and stay for longer as was such a well needed peaceful weekend away in the countryside 💖

喜欢 Lovely, helpful owners, clean site and facilities. Handy little onsite shop for essentials or bits you forget.

不喜欢 Toilets are a bit dated, but very, very clean. Could do with a couple more showers and loo's. Short wait for both at busy times. Didn't cause us a problem though. Could do with WiFi around the whole site as I did struggle for a signal from 5g.

Hankering to see a bit of history? Head up to the Royal Military Canal (15 minutes) for heritage walks by the water's edge, or hot-foot it to Dover Castle's tunnels (40 minutes) or Bodiam Castle and its moat (40 minutes).
