喜欢 Peaceful Getaway in Nature – Just What We Needed

We stayed at this lovely camping site from the 1st to the 3rd of August and honestly… what a gem. We went there looking for some quiet, yoga, and meditation — and we found exactly that.

Francis, one of the owners, was incredibly friendly and approachable. He came around every evening to help us get our fire pit going, which became one of our favorite parts of the day. His wife Pam was just as helpful — she kindly provided us with an extension cable when we needed it. It’s those thoughtful little touches that made the experience feel really welcoming.

We didn’t explore too far (there’s a beautiful woodland walk nearby if you’re feeling adventurous), but most of our time was spent relaxing by our tent — chatting, stretching out with a few yoga poses, and just soaking up the stillness.

The bathroom and toilet facilities? Honestly, not bad at all for the price — clean, functional, and better than we expected for a camping site.

Would we go back? Absolutely. It was the perfect escape to reset and unwind. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect and reconnect with nature.

喜欢 Beautiful, peaceful campsite surrounded by accessible woodland. Large pitch and lots of space for the kids to play and explore. The owners were really friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and looked after. Firewood was offered every day. Great central location for exploring the East Sussex coast and local area. We will be back. Ideal for families, couples and individuals. A great place to unwind and relax.

不喜欢 There will be additional amenities such as a shower and bathroom because the area may become full and dirty at times.

喜欢 Surrounded by the woods was amazing. Hosts were very relaxed and welcoming. Had a great drink in their pub in the woods, very impressive! There is also an amazing kids adventure park 10 minute drive away!

不喜欢 Felt that the shower and toilet facilities could be better managed e.g more regular cleaning and topping up of toilet roll.

喜欢 Loved the tranquility, being surrounded by woods, and nature. I didn’t spot any deer this time but saw a few rabbits and heard an owl! The location is ideal with lots of beautiful places to walk/run. Pam is really helpful and a lovely person. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and it was full this time which I was a little concerned about but absolutely no problem. There was still plenty of space as the pitches are really generous and we didn’t feel crowded at all. I even tried the outdoor shower and it was fine and a great alternative as the other showers were in use. The toilets were cleaned regularly and one morning the toilet paper ran out, but I emailed Pam and she came immediately to replace it. If you like nature and don’t like busy campsites but still want electricity and decent bathrooms, this is the place for you.

不喜欢 I’d love the lights by the toilet block at night to be less bright!!

喜欢 We LOVED the camp site! We enjoyed exploring the Woodlands and liked the fact that everything was in easy reach... However, we're were far enough away from the busyness that it was easy to forget about whilst we were enjoying the slower pace of life.
The facilities were perfect for us and the hot water in the showers a real treat.
