Get yourselves a lovely slice of rural Lancashire life at Puddleduck Glamping, a pop-up glamping site in the little village of Much Hoole, around 20 minutes’ drive from the centre of Preston. There are only a few bell tents set up at this sizeable site, so you should have plenty of space in which to relax, or let the kids have a good run around. There are pretty countryside views all around, and easy access to footpaths nearby for walks to local villages. Also within a few minutes’ walk are a farm shop, a fishery and a pump cycle track, so that’s several handy things you won’t need to get in the car for. The farm shop (again, just a short walk away) is a useful place for supplies – either for your kitchenette (which has a gas hob, kettle, toaster and various utensils) or for an evening by the firepit out in your private area. If you’d like to expand your cooking adventures, you’ll have the option to hire a pizza oven for your stay too (and if you’d rather someone else did the cooking, there are several cafés and restaurants five minutes’ drive away in Longton). The bell tents at this site are family-friendly, sleeping up to two adults and three kids in a double bed and three optional single camp beds (bed linen provided for the double bed, but you’ll need to bring your own sleeping bags/duvets, etc, for the camp beds). There’s also a woodburning stove in each tent, with kindling and logs for this and the firepit available to buy on site. High-quality toilets and showers are in a shared facility close to your tent.

喜欢 Everything. The owner James provides a warm welcome and the whole site is fantastic. Can't rate it highly enough. Small and friendly for a relaxing break. Located perfectly for our trip to The Open Golf at Southport. The communal kitchen area is well equipped with more than you would expect - fridge freezer, gas hob, microwave, kettle, charging points etc. The bathroom is fantastic, like you would have at home. Loved the firepit with BBQ grill. Everywhere is kept spotlessly clean. For younger children there is play equipment.

喜欢 The whole stay was absolutely perfect. I will definitely me staying again. Out of all my nights away this was definitely my favourite. The glamping tents where immaculate and the bed was extremely comfy I had a full night's sleep for the first time in a long time. The owners where extremely friendly and made us feel comfortable and welcome couldn't of asked for better hosts.

喜欢 This was our 2nd time here! Still absolutely amazing! Beautiful site & the kids loved the swing & slide. Lots of information for takeaways & the local area, free range eggs for sale from the chickens on site. Stunning bathroom that is very clean & a fully functional outdoor kitchen. The bell tents themselves are clean & cosy. We will definitely be returning again!

喜欢 We absolutely loved our stay. The tents were well spaced out, giving plenty of privacy. The facilities were immaculate with everything we needed.
The host was so friendly and helpful throughout our visit.
There are lovely walks straight from the site and places to eat just a few minutes drive away.
It was perfect for us and the dogs. we enjoyed every minute and will definitely be returning.

喜欢 Absolutely everything.
The setting is beautiful and location great for families to have great days out (Formby beach, Southport etc)
The hosts are just lovely
The accomodation is clean and very well looked after
The kids loved the park, running around and the variety of childrens outdoor toys.
There is a kitchenette that literally has all the cutlery you would need and useful appliances (toaster, kettle, microwave and stove).
There are the comfiest outdoor chairs with each bell tent and the firepits/bbq are a great size.
Loved it so much we are planning to stay again (probably multiple times!)

喜欢 We had a lovely stay at Puddleduck, James the host is such a lovely guy. Our kids absolutely loved it, had everything you could possibly need. The bathroom and kitchen area is spotless. The bell tent is spacious and so cozy with the log burner on a night. Our daughters loved the chickens and the beautiful Jessie dog. We are already booking our next visit. Came home feeling refreshed and relaxed. Can’t wait to come back ❤️

喜欢 Gorgeous little place, plenty space between the other tents so plenty privacy. James was very welcoming.
The tent was beautiful the little heater made all the difference to keeping it warm. Perfect little get away, on site facilities were excellent and spotless, we will definitely be returning again x

喜欢 Everything was perfect, host was great guy too. I liked it that much I’ve booked again for August and can’t wait to be back. Chickens were cool just wondering around our little boy loved it and all at a bargain price too. Bathroom was nice and clean and the shower is great, kitchen area had everything you could need.

Keep up the good work mate it’s a great little place.

喜欢 What a wonderful place full of love and charm. Best glamping site I’ve visited so far and I think it will be hard to beat. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed for our breakaway.The bathroom was stylish,clean and smelt delightful. The canvas tents were fabulous with the comfiest beds,bedding and chairs. First time I’ve slept right through the night in a long time. A short walk from the site is a fantastic farm shop and a lovely pub but to be honest on our next visit to this site I will be cooking breakfast lunch and tea on site as I totally fell in love with the place and didn’t want to leave. The hosts were superb their children were brilliant and their dog was adorable. The chicken’s were great too. 10/10

If you’re keen to soak up as much rural fresh air as you can, perhaps you’d like to spend an afternoon by the lake at Martin Hall Fishery (10 minutes’ walk) or take a good stroll around Longton Brickcroft Nature Reserve (five minutes’ drive). There’s lots of good wildlife to see at the Owl & Bird of Prey Sanctuary (10 minutes), too. Or how about taking in a bit of sea air for a change? The beaches of Southport and Formby are both about half an hour’s drive away – head to the former for traditional seaside attractions and the latter to see if you can spot red squirrels in the coastal nature reserve. Beyond all that, there’s plenty more – maybe a stroll around the Tudor house and grounds of Rufford Old Hall (15 minutes), birdwatching at WWT Martin Mere (15 minutes), a gin tour at Brindle Distillery (25 minutes) or some time spent admiring the shiny exhibits of The British Commercial Vehicle Museum (20 minutes)?
