It’s all about peaceful times at Pointer Farm Campsite, a spacious site on a working farm in the Lancashire countryside just outside the village of Stalmine. This is a place to pitch up (with dog in tow if you’ve got one) for great rural rambles followed by evenings spent sipping real ale or dining on tasty meals at a country pub. It’ll take you 10 minutes or so to wander down to the local hostelry, but if you don’t fancy venturing that far you’re welcome to light up a barbecue for open-air dinners on site instead. Being out in a proper rural location means plenty of space and quiet around this site – but this site isn’t quite as remote as its surroundings might suggest. A 15-minute drive gets you from the farm to Poulton-le-Fylde and it’s only a little further to the bright lights of Blackpool (about a 20-minute drive in total). The bus stop in the village means there’s also the option to get down to the coast using public transport if you’d rather leave the car behind. Back at the farm, facilities are simple but well kept: the smart modern facilities block has unisex toilets and showers along with a washing-up area, and there’s also free wifi so you can keep in contact with the wider world.

喜欢 Lovely scenery. Quiet campsite. We didn't mind the unisex toilets/shower block but just want to make other aware as not everyone would be comfortable. The showers great and were at the right temperature and the block was nice and clean. I have mobility issues and could cope with your couple of steps. They don't have a disabled toilet/wet room. Again it was ok for me. I did mention to the owners about getting a seat that could be used in the shower and they liked the idea. Would recommend and we would certainly come again. Nice for the dog too. Definitely in a lovely rural setting, lots of sheep, cows and donkeys. WiFi was also fantastic. Also had lights on the site at night, toilets had heating settings, so we're always nice and warm. We stay for 3 nights in our motorhome. Bring lots of provisions as in walking distance there was just a Morrisons Local.

喜欢 Peace & quiet, size of site & pitches, clean facilities & waste points & security barrier.

不喜欢 Big stones difficult / painful to walk on & to manoeuvre caravan, pitches are not well defined - weeds need removing & the surface improved. Would've been nice to meet the owners.

喜欢 Location, self check-in, size of pitches, layout of site, cleanliness of facilities & waste points.

不喜欢 Pitches are tired & require attention - ie, weed removal & re-surfacing with smaller stones so they're easier to walk on. Pitch tap needed re-aligning. Some communication from / with the owner would've been nice.

喜欢 The location is great, facilities very clean, the kids, the wife and I love camping so this site made our adventure a lot better. Barrier with key code on site, modern facilities, shops within driving distance and pubs within walking distance.

不喜欢 When we attended part of the area was a construction site, ongoing works to a cottage part of the site was uneven around near the toilet facilities. This can't be helped and I imagine the construction will be completed soon. Unsupervised, no staff around.

喜欢 Lovely clean campsite.
The toilets and showers were clean and smelt clean.
Responsive owners when I gave feedback via text message whilst there.

不喜欢 The WiFi signal needs to be stronger. When connected to the WiFi it was really slow and didn’t always work. Ended up using my own data.
I would suggest anti slip mats when getting out of the showers. Also provide a mop and bucket so guests could wipe the floors after a shower.

喜欢 The space was quiet and well kept. The bathrooms were well cleaned and handled. I liked the security of the coded barrier.

不喜欢 The only issue I had was with other campers not respecting the cleanliness of the bathrooms. No issue with the campsite itself.
