喜欢 Lovely friendly welcome. Large pitches with huge amount of grass for children to play.
Five minute walk to the bus stop. We went into the centre of York in less than half an hour.
Immaculate facilities.
Gorgeous eggs for breakfast from the free range chickens.
Thank you. We’ll be back 😊😊

Definitely worth a repeat visit.

喜欢 Friendly welcome.Lovely site with good spaced pitches.Farm shop for coffee & breakfast.

不喜欢 Only minor niggles but electric points few & far between ,so we had to invade someone else's space to remove our cable.Also could do with dog poop bins around site.The village pub is run as a restaurant & only opens when there's bookings.Not the sites fault but just too make people aware!

喜欢 Return visit to The Alders. Camping without the tent. Lovely camp site with extremely clean facilities.
Pods are warm and have a heater provided if it does become cold. The space in front of the pods is safe for children to play and have a great shelter with tables and seating.

In less than half an hour, guests will find all sorts of things to do: take to two wheels for a trip to York (nine miles down the White Rose Cycle Route), which is packed with brilliant stuff including the minster and Jorvik Viking Centre; steam through the North York Moors on a vintage train, or explore the wildlife and scenery of the Yorkshire Dales via Shanks' pony… Holidaymakers can revisit Brideshead at Castle Howard palace and gardens, be transported back to the sights and sounds of World War Two at the Eden Camp Museum, and take in the grand National Trust mansions of Beningbrough Hall and Nunnington Hall, or the stunning walled gardens at Helmsley. If the kids start being beastly, you can always cart them off to the Flamingo Land zoo and theme park. This being Yorkshire, you're never far from a bonny watering hole – and there are some cracking food pubs or inns nearby, including Aldwark Arms at Aldwark and The Blue Bell in Alne. Visitors can also see how the local ales are made at the Black Sheep Brewery, which naturally offers lots of samples of its award-winning brews.
