喜欢 Really clean showers and toilets.
Our camping pitch was quiet and away from the main family noise of the caravans.

不喜欢 The showers didn’t stay on for very long and our camping pitch wasn’t level.

不喜欢 Unfortunately when we were there five families obviously holidaying together were all allowed to pitch together and it was awful vans cars music bikes and us in the middle .

不喜欢 Not sure about the electricity card's. We normally have the electricity included with the pitch. It just seems expensive 🙁

喜欢 Great site to walk to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Nice drive to Scarborough.

喜欢 Amazing campsite, great facilities, really nice location and relatively quiet. Bus stop and village pub less than 5 minutes walk.

Staff really friendly and welcoming.

Toilets and showers are absolutely fine not the poshest but clean and adequate, cleaned once per day.

Onsite has a bar and café, didn't try as beer choice was not so good but local pub was great.

For touring around the area a 3 day bus pass costs £20 and allows you to travel the coast and inland to the Moors unlimited travel amazing value with regular busses that run to after 11pm.

We did Saltburn, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough, Goathland (Harry Potter & Heartbeat), Thornton-Le-Dale (Mathewson's) over 2 days all by bus. Great way to take in the landscapes on the top deck of the bus.


Reading the reviews electricity seems to be a negative theme but the shop sells the cards in £1 denominations so not really a problem i used less than £5 over a 3 night stay, and can buy from the onsite pub after shop is closed.

If like me you are in an old slow motorhome I would recommend going via Scarborough on the A614 if you are travelling from the South as the moors road A169 is very challenging with steep 20%+ gradients/declines that seem to go forever, but amazingly scenic if you are brave.

I will be back next year as we have so much to do still.

不喜欢 Only minor gripes

Build electric costs into the pitch price,
More toilets in the gents as there are only 3.
Possibly clean the toilets twice a day as they can get messy by 10am.
Pushbutton showers which are annoying and cant adjust temperature.

喜欢 Very Clean and Friendly site, lovely ladies at reception who are super helpful. Facilities are very clean, overall a great site in a great location, close to cinder path for walks. onsite Cafe/Bar which is handy

不喜欢 Pitches are so close together, you have no option to get to know the people on the pitch next door, our pitch was described as sea view, which it would have been if there was not a caravan right in front of us.

I appreciate it was the 1st week of the school holidays and very busy.

We did have a great time here so Dislike is a strong word, but more space is our preference.

喜欢 What’s not to like, beautiful caravan and camp site, we have a dog, and there’s a lovely big field for exercise. There’s also a nice cafe bar on site, dog friendly also. Shower and toilet block were always lovely and clean. Everyone we came across was so friendly. Not forgetting the lovely staff, we were made to feel so welcome, I would definitely recommend, it was our first time camping, for a very long time, and it was really pleasant. We will definitely be returning in the future.

喜欢 Love the camp site ideal location very clean and tidy great shower block and toilets very large dog walking field nice cafe and bar staff friendly and helpful very quite site safe barrier entry

不喜欢 Paying for electricity but we managed with this could do with a few more play items notice some gravel pitches were small ours was fine for awning and car wifi was weak signal
