Seaside holiday or a break in a historic town? No need to decide when you book a stay at Brook House Farm, set on clifftops with sea and moorland views, but just 20 minutes’ walk from the centre of Whitby. Here you get the best of both worlds: peace and seclusion on a working farm, and townie attractions like shops, pubs and restaurants close at hand, too. Well insulated against any inclement North Yorkshire weather, the accommodation is in a static caravan sleeping four (in proper beds, too), with living, dining and kitchenette areas, plus plenty of space so you don’t get under each other’s feet. You’ll have excellent North Sea panoramas from the timber decking – there’s also a sheltered gravelled area for catching some sun (when it shows its face) – and the mysterious ruins of Whitby Abbey stand out on the horizon. There is secure private parking at the site, which is at the end of a no-through road. Brook House Farm is surrounded on all sides by green fields and the sea. Your only company here is likely to be the resident pigs, Suzie the friendly sheep and the occasional moggy on pest-control duties.

喜欢 Absolutely loved this small but effective site. Toilet and shower spotless and just a short walk to a very quiet beach. Amazing view of Whitby Abbey and wonderful sunsets. Just a mile along the Cleveland Way coastal path to Whitby and some amazing views of the sea and cliffs on the way. Definitely recommend and a place we’d stay again. Thank you.

喜欢 We had a fantastic stay at this campsite. The location is excellent, with a beautiful cliff-top walk all the way into Whitby, offering stunning coastal views along the way. We also enjoyed a wonderful day at Saltwick Bay, which is well worth a visit, although the access is quite steep so make sure you're prepared for the climb back up.
The campsite itself was peaceful and quiet, making it a great place to relax. The toilet and shower facilities were kept clean throughout our stay, which was much appreciated. Overall, a lovely site in a great location, and we'd happily return.

喜欢 Tidy quiet site short walk into Whitby. Good communication from owner and very helpful

不喜欢 Dislike is a strong term. Just toilet facilities not quite right for us. He did keep them clean and tidy but we are used by to bigger. However that’s just us and they were very suitable for a 6 pitch site

喜欢 Excellent little site with great views and perfect amenities. Stayed with the Mrs and the dogs in our tourer. Loved it. Walk route into whitby took no more than 30mins even with the dogs. Perfect little site

喜欢 The view over looking the Abbey and the sea is glorious. Very peaceful.
The one toilet and shower is clean.

不喜欢 The walk into town is supposedly 20 minutes but more like 30 minutes at a good pace.
The bar holding the shower head is coming off the wall making it tricky whilst showering.

喜欢 Wonderful place to stay, with a short walk into Whitby. Very small site on a working farm, had the cockerel and horses to wake you up on a morning.
Sunsets were amazing with the abbey in the distance. Walked into Robin Hood’s bay along the coast and got the bus back.
Only had one toilet/shower, which was fine when we were there as there were only a few people on site, it was clean. No WiFi, but to be honest you really don’t want to waste any time online when you have the beautiful views around you
Will definitely go back

The Cleveland Way, a long-distance trail linking Helmsley (in the North York Moors National Park) to Filey Brigg (on the coast) can be accessed from the site. Follow it southwards to reach the pretty village of Robin Hood’s Bay (about an hour and three quarters on foot), where a small museum illustrates the fishing heritage of the area – and its smuggling heritage, too. In Whitby (five minutes’ drive) you can choose to delve into the world of 18th-century exploration at the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, or indulge your passion for Gothic horror at the Dracula Experience and at Whitby Abbey. Speaking of which… check out the view of the abbey’s dramatic hilltop ruins from the opposite bank of the River Esk, where it appears nicely framed by the Whalebone Arch. If there are any Harry Potter enthusiasts in your party, you might want to visit Goathland (20 minutes), the unassuming station of which doubled as Hogsmeade, the terminus for the Hogwarts Express. Goathland is also one of the stations served by the heritage trains run by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
