喜欢 Lovely looking site and pub, food was lovely at a reasonable price, live entertainment was very good and enjoyable, lovely atmosphere all round, nice country walks.

不喜欢 No dislikes, would be good to have a toilet available 24/7 however we knew this before we booked so went prepared.

Electric hook up included. Real ales and great pub food.…

喜欢 Fabulous pub site in quiet peaceful countryside. Everything for us was perfect, even the weather! We had a really good lunch in the restaurant with plenty of choice. The food was delicious and the service and staff are excellent. Well kept site with level pitches.

喜欢 We arrived at this site having booked a few days prior. We were aware the site was attached to a pub, and thought we’ll just eat there instead of buying food and cooking. Well, we didn’t anticipate how popular this rural pub was! They were packed and it was fully booked, but they were so accommodating. They did some re-jigging and moved some bits around and found us space as we were staying overnight. They were so friendly too and had a great chat about the area. Later someone jumped on the piano and did a great little sing along, all in all a lovely little stay. Thank you

不喜欢 Can’t really complain but no toilets after pub closed and it closed early that night!

To the coast? It’s half an hour’s drive from the pub to Lowestoft, Britain’s most easterly town and home to a lengthy beach, a lengthy pier and beach huts that you will want to possess right this instant thank you very much. At Southwold (half an hour along the coast from Lowestoft, or reach it straight from the site in the same distance), there’s another pier and sandy beach, a nine-hole golf course and more colourful beach huts, as well as tours and tastings at Adnams Brewery – gin included. Or stay inland to access the Broads National Park and the River Waveney waterways from local town Beccles, such as the coastal lagoon of Oulton Broad: have an afternoon here to spy otters and wading birds around RSPB Minsmere, have a guided tour or take one of the nature trails. The reserve also runs regular family days and events at its Wild Zone and Wild Wood Adventure area. (If that’s whetted the kids’ appetites for Suffolk theme parks, Pleasurewood is 10 minutes’ drive outside Lowestoft, or 25 minutes from the site.) Norwich is the most convenient starting point if you’re day tripping by public transport: Great Yarmouth is 45 minutes away by train, Ipswich just under an hour and a half, and London just under two hours.
