Anglers and adventurers, get ready, because Fendicks Fishery is a stunning Norfolk site with five well-stocked fishing lakes and a mature woodland, just half an hour’s drive from Thetford Forest. Out there, there’s plenty of adventuring to be done, with High Lodge and its Go Ape centre as a good starting point. There's a well-balanced atmosphere at this site, as the team have worked hard over the years to manage and landscape the grounds so that there’s a good combination of nature and fishing. Anglers have access to five lakes with a variety of fish up for grabs, including catfish (weighing in at over 95 lbs), carp, tench, silverfish and more. With 32 acres of mature woodland surrounding the lake, peaceful and scenic are two words that accurately Fendicks Fishery. Plus, there’s a splendid set-up in terms of facilities, with a toilet and shower block that’s kept toasty by underfloor heating, a washing-up area, washing machines, information room, Elsan points and the reception area. All the grassy pitches have access to electric hook-up (how handy). When you’re not unwinding around the acres of space around this well-kept site or spending an afternoon fishing, you could take off onto the miles of paths around Thetford Forest or head further out onto the Norfolk coast, which will take you around an hour’s drive or just over.

The Hideaway 小木屋

喜欢: Absolutely beautiful we stayed as a last minute decision in the hideaway plenty of room very clean we fished lake 2 with our young children caught a few lovely looking fish well looked after lakes surroundings picture perfect so peaceful plenty of room for the children to play plus on site cafe and bar which the food is so lovely 🥰 staff are very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble will definitely be returning asap

喜欢: Second time we have stayed here had a lovely time again, nice cafe and bar on site, lovely shower block , plenty of fishing, lovely dog walks , the whole place is kept immaculate, a nice quiet peaceful site.. Lisa and her team are very helpful, will definitely stay again .

不喜欢: We was put in between lakes 4&5
First night was fine but then more fisherman put up bivvys around our caravan which made it impossible to sit outside our van they were right by our caravan door.
Then on the next morning at 7am more fisherman turned up knocking up a tent that early all we could hear was pegs being knocked into the ground. Then found we were blocked in by them. We had to tell them we was leaving the next day and they just said not our problem. My husband did manage to get through the other side.
Road noise was constant. We will not be going back.
Another tent on the opposite side of the lake had music so load i think the whole site was listening to it.

喜欢: Second stay at Fendicks and it didn't disappoint! Well apart from the weather! Haha. Lovely food in Rondos as usual and all the staff were so helpful. Lisa, Tom and Adrian to name a few! Thanks for a nice 3 days.

喜欢: The whole set up and the relaxed approach to pitching our caravan. Some stayed in the shepherd's huts and some with us in the van. The fishing was quite good but very busy. Will come back again.

不喜欢: I Only fished lake 5 but I found their to be a lot of debris in the water.

The Hideaway 小木屋

喜欢: The dog walk trail, people and staff friendly

不喜欢: Not a quiet place to relax and chill and for the husband to do a spot of fishing, it was extremely busy with fishermen coming from all over, fishing all day and night right outside our cabin, had to keep the curtains closed as one was constantly staring in, fishing gear all over the place, had to step over it and walk around to get to our cabin. TV had no digital signal, wifi wouldn’t work inside cabin because of the trees, this was reported and nothing was done. There seemed to be one set of fishing rules for regulars and one for new people, my husband was told by bar staff he couldn’t purchase a fishing ticket for the next day and that he had to buy it on the day, rules state you can’t set up until you buy a ticket! Yet at 7am people were arriving outside our cabin and started fishing before anywhere was open to purchase a ticket, and this was one of the lakes not on the online booking system!

当地景点

Head to High Lodge (half an hour’s drive) to kickstart your tour of Thetford Forest. There are all sorts of ways to become one with the forest, from hiring out a Segway, taking an archery lesson or finding your zen with forest yoga. Go Ape Thetford (half an hour) will require a little bravery and some acrobatic skills for its treetop courses and zipwires, but on the ground, there are three cycling trails and four footpaths to follow from High Lodge. If you’re looking to find some places where the kids are likely to be entertained, Banham Zoo (35 minutes) is one such place, as are Melsop Farm Park (35 minutes) and Church Farm Stow Bardolph (15 minutes), two farm parks with a variety of animals and farm-style activities. A day at the coast is also possible from this site… just pick your seafront of choice. Perhaps Hunstanton (55 minutes) and Cromer (an hour and 20 minutes) to the north, or Great Yarmouth (an hour and 10 minutes) to the east? Towards the coast is Bressingham Steam & Gardens (40 minutes), a nice choice to see working steam locomotives in the flesh.
