This family-run holiday park in the Norfolk Broads is bound to be a handy base for getting out and exploring the coast and countryside. Set within a peaceful woodland within the national park, Clippesby Hall has scenic wooded surroundings, high-quality facilities and – get this – it's also only a 20-minute drive from the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth and 35 minutes from the historic city of Norwich. The park lies in a nature-rich area with woodland glades, mature gardens and peaceful green spaces. The modern reception and BASECAMP complex houses a café-bar-restaurant serving everything from full English breakfasts to stonebaked pizzas, plus a shop for essentials. Modern shower facilities (spacious, bright and impeccably maintained) are another convenience. Spend your downtime flitting between the varied leisure facilities: there’s an 18-hole mini golf course, cycle hire and tennis courts directly on site. Kids can also let off steam at the adventure playground, where there are zipwires and a climbing wall, or at the two other on-site play areas.

不喜欢 Disappointed Not being able to eat on Friday and Saturday night as it was apparently fully booked especially when we booked on the Thursday and got told no need to bother!!
We enjoyed the sun shine out side on the decking with a couple of pint then to get told that we can’t eat that night and was told to go and find something local isn’t great when you have have beer or two, so unfortunately took the shine of the stay a little..

喜欢 Lovely quiet pitch. Excellent restaurant and nice clean toilets and showers. Amazing little mini golf (not that we played, but it looked great).

不喜欢 Maybe a few extra bits in the ‘shop’.

喜欢 Really well maintained site, helpful staff and generous pitches, especially in the Old Orchard area, which we loved.

不喜欢 Not being allowed to take our dog anywhere other than the outside terrace of Basecamp. We managed to work around this as the weather was good, but on a cool wet day we just wouldn’t have wanted to eat or drink there

喜欢 Generally a great campsite, especially if you book onto one of the smaller more secluded areas. Great for wildlife and bird spotting. Lovely family feel. Very helpful staff even in the extreme heat.

喜欢 The campsite is very well planned out with plenty of activities for the whole family. Lots of nice open spaces as well as tall trees for shade. We stayed at rabbits grove and the pitch size was big enough for our T25 campervan with large awning plus room for an extra car if you bring one. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was fairly well stocked and the food menu was comprehensive given it was a campsite! They do takeaway pizzas, which we didn’t get to try but they did look delicious! There was sitting outside with parasols and water bowls for your furry friends. Plenty of showers and toilets and well maintained. We stayed for 2 nights but could easily have stayed longer! Loads of geraniums and the grounds were well kept. Would definitely recommend.

There are some very fine adventures to be had once you step outside Clippesby Hall, whether you're after outdoor activities, good scenery or a family day out. The site is in the Norfolk Broads National Park and a short drive from its popular waterways, where boating, canoeing, paddleboarding or peaceful wildlife watching are the go-to activities. Hire a day boat to drift along the rivers while keeping your eyes peeled for herons and otters. There's also stunning countryside on all sides of the site, with miles of quiet lanes and woodland tracks for a gentle walk or longer ramble; circular routes also begin directly from the site. Meanwhile, a 15- to 20-minute drive is all it takes to reach Norfolk's wide sandy beaches, dunes and traditional seaside towns like Great Yarmouth. Those who fancy more wildlife-spotting can head to the coastal nature reserves, birdwatching hides and riverside walks. There are plenty of ideas around these parts for family activities, too, whether it's a trip to animal/adventure parks like Pettitts Animal Adventure Park (20 minutes) or historic houses and museums like the Elizabethan House Museum in Great Yarmouth (20 minutes). Of course, there's also always the option to drive to a cosy village pub or browse nearby independent shops.
