Settle yourselves down here, Shakespeare fans: Dodwell Park is just two miles from Shakespeare’s birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s cottage and all the bardly attractions of Stratford-upon-Avon. There’s peace, there’s quiet, there’s a countryside setting – and if all that still isn’t enough for a final attempt to get the kids (and dog) reading sonnets, you can culture-ise them by taking them along to nearby Warwick Castle for all sorts of horrible history. Sorted. Dodwell Park is a small family-run site where the amenities are kept to spotless standards, with free hot showers, dishwashing facilities and hairdryers to keep the barnet looking tiptop. A shop and off-licence is on site, and armfuls of leaflets are at the information stand with info on Stratford-upon-Avon and other local tourist attractions. Nearby are Cotswold villages with Shakespearely thatched inns, walks and cruises along the River Avon and the hills of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Boating, fishing and old buildings are at Luddington village about three miles from Dodwell Park. Leaving the car behind to avoid hiking up car parking costs in Stratford? A regular bus service stops right outside the site.

喜欢 I was apprehensive about this site after I read the reviews however, even though the site was full is was very peaceful, didn’t have a problem getting a shower and plenty of space on our motorhome pitch.
Shower and toilet block is very clean and site well maintained. It is a 45 minute walk into Stratford.

不喜欢 Pitches are on a slope - definitely need ramps. Not really a dislike as we knew this before we came but there is no grey water waste for motorhomes.

喜欢 Lovely clean site, the managers are excellent, very welcoming and friendly, can't do enough for you.
We asked to move pitch due to the electric hindering us parking properly and they sorted it immediately.

喜欢 Really lovely dog walking field. It is next to a very busy road, so keep your dog on its leash.

不喜欢 The first thing we did after we were pitched was search for an alternative site. While pitches may be just 6ft apart (left or right) the same cannot be said for pitches on the parallel row, we had to be carefull reversing so our bike rack did not catch the motorhome on the pitch behind us. The pitches are sloping, so even at the top of our ramps, we were still no where near level so the sinks would not drain fully. The toilets are simply not sufficient for the amount of pitches on the site. 2 toilets and three showers. A great site if you are outgoing and want to talk to others around you or listen to their music. If you want some privacy, this may not be for you. A word of warning if you have a motorhome 7.5 or more, do not drive to the end of the rows, they have built concrete pads that have reduced the road width near the toilet block, the means turning is very difficult and you run the risk of catching the concrete pads. Thankfully i avoided this hazzard. They do not have motorhome grey waste disposal points either.

不喜欢 Very little - the site is slightly sloping, but this doesn’t take anything away from it being a great place

喜欢 Lovely little site, very accommodating and friendly. Bus stop easily accessible on both sides of the road. Bonus that there was a dedicated dog walking field. We also went for breakfast at the antique shops next door to the site.

8-9:30) was disappointing, as I expected it to stock fresh produce such as bread, milk, and possibly newspapers for the morning. However, it did at least offer some essentials, including UHT milk and a selection of cupboard items.
