Ready for weekend breaks and nights under the stars on an adults-only Staffordshire hideaway? Staying at Tyre Farm sees you 15 minutes’ drive from Alton Towers and the Peak District National Park; wherever you find yourself on site there are spectacular views across open countryside to wild moorland and the landmark Winkhill. Logs and disposable barbecues are available for a small cost on request. Pick up other bits and pieces for your meals from the supermarkets in Leek (15 minutes), or head to pubs and restaurants if outdoor cooking isn’t your forté; there are quite a few options within 20 minutes of the site. As the pitches are on a working smallholding, dogs should be kept on leads.

喜欢 Friendly hosts, really helpful and met their gorgeous dog Betty. Nice communal reception area with honesty box for various items, washing up area. Toilet, shower, board games etc. Really peaceful place, beautiful greenery all around.

不喜欢 Slightly wonky pitch. Chocks may be needed but other than that, was lovely stop off and would go back without hesitation.

喜欢 We had a lovely stay at Tyre Farm! It’s a peaceful location with stunning countryside views and lovely walks right on your doorstep. Perfect for getting out and about, enjoying the fresh air and exploring the surrounding area.

We loved being able to head out for a walk, stop off at a pub for a drink and then return to the van to relax for the evening. There’s something so nice about getting cosy in the campervan, putting a film on and just switching off from everyday life.

The scenery is great and it’s a great spot if you enjoy countryside walks, a bit of exploring and a relaxing getaway. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily visit again!

不喜欢 The only thing worth mentioning is that, for the first time in four years of camping, our electric hookup extension didn’t quite reach the electric point from where we needed to park on the pitch. This meant we had to park slightly off the pitch to make it work. It wasn’t the fault of the site or ourselves, just one of those things we hadn’t come across before. It didn’t spoil our stay, but it’s worth mentioning for anyone using their own electric hookup lead

喜欢 Email communications with the owner was good.
Showed around the reception area and given code for entry, so a secure site.
Very rural and quiet.
Very clean and tidy.
Small site so shouldn't get to noisy at any time. We were the only ones on site during our stay.

喜欢 Our second excursion in our campervan at Tyre Farm was thoroughly enjoyable. Kirsten and her family were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The setting was tranquil, and the morning vista from the vehicle was magnificent. We undertook several walks originating from the farm. As we were the sole guests during our stay, we were perhaps somewhat privileged.
