If you had thoughts on an ideal setting for a hol between England and Wales, Hadley Park might well be it. It's in the Shropshire countryside on the border with Wales, next to the Shropshire Union Canal, and a handsomely scenic walk from Whitchurch, Shropshire's oldest market town. Hadley Park is a family-owned and run site that's set up for adults only. It has a small pond where guests can fish for a small fee per rod (maximum of two rods), a big sundeck overlooking the pond, and a fully licensed on-site café serving fresh local produce. You can also have your hair smartened up in the Hadley Park salon: just enquire when booking using the details in your booking confirmation email. Amenities include a launderette and a washing-up area; there's also a chemical disposal point, and a modern well-kept toilet and shower block with disabled facilities. The park is adults-only and welcomes well-behaved dogs. A service station with fast food and coffee outlet is 400 yards away.

喜欢 Decent level pitches.
Toilet/shower block spotless (loos might get a tad busy during peak periods as only 2)
Adult only, so peaceful & friendly.
Whitchurch is a lovely Town and about 35 min walk to the Centre.
Cafe on site is excellent and caters for 'Gluten Free' diets, which is brilliant.
Lovely hosts, freindly & welcoming

不喜欢 More of an observation that dislike, but the main road can be a tad noisy at times, but doesn't spoil the visit.

Loved the new seating around the pond areas (benches)
Everyone is always happy to help
Even has a cafe that's open 9am-3pm
Showers and toilets are spotless boiling hot showers . Kitchen area has free to use fridge . Coins for kettle and washers

不喜欢 Nothing much could do with a water supply in the camping area but it's not far to access

喜欢 What a place, we really enjoyed our stay and communal bathroom was very clean and accessible. We stayed in Randolf camping pod it was very clean the bed was comfortable.

Very much enjoyed stopping at Hadley Park, Dawn keeps an amazing gem of a site. Literally on the canal too.

喜欢 Very relaxed, lovely lake and nice having the sheep visit, toilet and showers exceptional, cleaned daily, food at the café was superb. Dawn super friendly. Close to the canal which was nice for a stroll into town. Grounds are well kept, nice new picnic benches around the lake, cutest shepherd huts.

不喜欢 Road noise, but you soon get used to it.

Pitch was great, weather was great, very friendly owners Dawn & De, people on the site were lovely and helpful.

Fishing pond on site massive enclosed dog field which was just fantastic for our 2 rescues, it also had benches with cover.

Toilet and showers immaculate.

不喜欢 Nothing...just wish we had have booked for longer

喜欢 Everything . Cafe was lovely . Staff lovely. I’ll defo be visiting again. Very quiet site close to the canal for walks.

不喜欢 Directions to where I needed to park up, I was sent instructions for tents. I worked it out though . Maybe they need a separate email for tents and motorhomes . If your in a motor home etc you need to go to the left of the cafe not the right 😀

喜欢 Pitch size was decent, only had the option of a serviced pitch. The toilet block and dishwashing area were both very clean.
Access to the canal where you could walk along one side as the opposite side is private moorings.

不喜欢 Could maybe route the path from the huts to the toilet block a bit better as the people in the huts kept walking through our pitch to use the facilities. The seasonal vans (I presume), at the entrance are looking tired and dirty and this is the first impression you will have as you enter the site.

Staying close to home from Hadley Park, the old Shropshire town of Whitchurch is less than a mile away, and the walks of the Sandstone Trail as well as the hacks of the Bishop Bennet Way are easily accessible via the Shropshire and Union Canal on site. Elsewhere, several famed Shropshire and Cheshire sights are within 20 miles of the park, like Chester Cathedral and the city's Roman ruins and amphitheatre; Chester Zoo and Chester Racecourse; the fab follies of Hawkestone Park, and the llamas, alpacas and 50 acres of greenery of Cholmondeley Castle Gardens. Nearby Shrewsbury is famed for its annual flower show and for its Darwin Trail commemorating the life and work of evolution dude Charles Darwin who was born in the town. More modernly, a good range of plays are held at the new Severn Theatre and several riverside pubs and restaurants are around at which to while the night away. The bars, cafés and independent shops of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Llangollen are within driving distance: other top town picks are a picnic in Riverside Park, a stroll along Victoria Promenade, and a steam straight ahead on the Llangollen Railway.
