If you had thoughts on an ideal setting for a hol between England and Wales, Hadley Park might well be it. It's in the Shropshire countryside on the border with Wales, next to the Shropshire Union Canal, and a handsomely scenic walk from Whitchurch, Shropshire's oldest market town. Hadley Park is a family-owned and run site that's set up for adults only. It has a small pond where guests can fish for a small fee per rod (maximum of two rods), a big sundeck overlooking the pond, and a fully licensed on-site café serving fresh local produce. You can also have your hair smartened up in the Hadley Park salon: just enquire when booking using the details in your booking confirmation email. Amenities include a launderette and a washing-up area; there's also a chemical disposal point, and a modern well-kept toilet and shower block with disabled facilities. The park is adults-only and welcomes well-behaved dogs. A service station with fast food and coffee outlet is 400 yards away.

No physical interaction with owner but I had all the info so no need to 👍
Quiet spacious pitch. Toilet block very clean. Location great for walking the tow path to Whitchurch, canal walk 150 yards from pitch. No WI-FI but I knew that before traveling. 4G with 3 so I had phone and internet

喜欢 Nice quiet site with the added bonus of fishing and cafe on site, facilities really clean, all staff really friendly

不喜欢 Not a dislike but just to make people aware that pool view isn’t actually around the lake, it is the next field not even a minute walk

喜欢 Excellent toilets, handy kitchen area, great exercise area for the dogs off lead, easy to pitch up.
Wonderful walks in both directions along the canal but at the moment you have to get off the towpath at the marina I’d going into town.

不喜欢 Nothing really. There is road noise in the day but not in the evening.

喜欢 Spotless facilities. Very peaceful. Straightforward access. Nice staff in cafe. Convenient to Whitchurch. Ubers available locally

不喜欢 Cafe closes quite early, but it was great when we did catch it. Staff super nice and helpful

You cant walk all the way into town by the canal, but just a short section next to the busy road.

The lady in the cafe who may have appeared to be rude is not part of our business & all check-ins are sent online . The cafe is not a reception for the caravan park .

喜欢 My second time staying at Hadley park. I absolutely love this place. A nice surprise to find a little tv in the pod this year. Also loved the extras such as the radio in the shower block, which was always clean and tidy. Breakfast at the cafe was also excellent. Iv met some lovely people everyone was kind and friendly. I look forward to returning again.

喜欢 Decent level pitches.
Toilet/shower block spotless (loos might get a tad busy during peak periods as only 2)
Adult only, so peaceful & friendly.
Whitchurch is a lovely Town and about 35 min walk to the Centre.
Cafe on site is excellent and caters for 'Gluten Free' diets, which is brilliant.
Lovely hosts, freindly & welcoming

不喜欢 More of an observation that dislike, but the main road can be a tad noisy at times, but doesn't spoil the visit.

Staying close to home from Hadley Park, the old Shropshire town of Whitchurch is less than a mile away, and the walks of the Sandstone Trail as well as the hacks of the Bishop Bennet Way are easily accessible via the Shropshire and Union Canal on site. Elsewhere, several famed Shropshire and Cheshire sights are within 20 miles of the park, like Chester Cathedral and the city's Roman ruins and amphitheatre; Chester Zoo and Chester Racecourse; the fab follies of Hawkestone Park, and the llamas, alpacas and 50 acres of greenery of Cholmondeley Castle Gardens. Nearby Shrewsbury is famed for its annual flower show and for its Darwin Trail commemorating the life and work of evolution dude Charles Darwin who was born in the town. More modernly, a good range of plays are held at the new Severn Theatre and several riverside pubs and restaurants are around at which to while the night away. The bars, cafés and independent shops of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Llangollen are within driving distance: other top town picks are a picnic in Riverside Park, a stroll along Victoria Promenade, and a steam straight ahead on the Llangollen Railway.
