If you had thoughts on an ideal setting for a hol between England and Wales, Hadley Park might well be it. It's in the Shropshire countryside on the border with Wales, next to the Shropshire Union Canal, and a handsomely scenic walk from Whitchurch, Shropshire's oldest market town. Hadley Park is a family-owned and run site that's set up for adults only. It has a small pond where guests can fish – for free; a big sundeck overlooking the pond, and a fully licensed on-site café serving fresh local produce. You can also have your hair smartened up in the Hadley Park salon: just enquire when booking using the details in your booking confirmation email. Amenities include a launderette and a washing-up area; there's also a chemical disposal point, and a modern well-kept toilet and shower block with disabled facilities. The park is adults-only and welcomes well-behaved dogs. A service station with fast food and coffee outlet is 400 yards away.

Lovely walks along the canal which ran adjacent to site.
Dog friendly cafe at entrance with great welcome.
Large safe compound to let your dog loose.

喜欢 Size of flat pitch. Shower, toilet and washing up facilities very good. Close to canal and pleasant walk into Whitchurch

不喜欢 The hard standing pitches need some TLC. A bit of weeding and neatening of the edges. This would make the area far more attractive . Toilet seats in the ladies toilets need fixing.

来自经理: Thank you for your feedback . We are currently making plans to redo the pitches . We only took over on the 1st March and this is on our to do list when funds allow .
Toilet seats are fixed they just came loose as they have only just been renewed .
Always happy to do what we can to achieve the best results . Unfortunately the weeds are ruthless at the moment but we are in it .

Poolside pitch was peaceful (some road noise) but acceptable
The toilet and shower facilities where among some of the best I have used
Great location for visiting north wales
I cycled to Llangollen
Canal tow path within yards but not very well kept and would be great if it was maintained to better standard.

喜欢 Very clean and tidy- excellent facilities and cafe is bonus

不喜欢 Road noise ( ok with earplugs!)and non electric grass pitches are too close together for me- was lucky on first night as two of us left pitch gap in between for privacy but when others arrived not so good f( personal preference- may be fine for others)

喜欢 Everything realy from the very relaxing atmosphere to the spotlessly clean facilities ,shower block, kitchen where there was washer , dryer, microwave and 2 very large sinks, nice views across fishing pool and and the excellent little cafe. This site is along side the canal so great for a stroll. Owners are great too very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Will deffenately be back again for our 6th visit.

Staying close to home from Hadley Park, the old Shropshire town of Whitchurch is less than a mile away, and the walks of the Sandstone Trail as well as the hacks of the Bishop Bennet Way are easily accessible via the Shropshire and Union Canal on site. Elsewhere, several famed Shropshire and Cheshire sights are within 20 miles of the park, like Chester Cathedral and the city's Roman ruins and amphitheatre; Chester Zoo and Chester Racecourse; the fab follies of Hawkestone Park, and the llamas, alpacas and 50 acres of greenery of Cholmondeley Castle Gardens. Nearby Shrewsbury is famed for its annual flower show and for its Darwin Trail commemorating the life and work of evolution dude Charles Darwin who was born in the town. More modernly, a good range of plays are held at the new Severn Theatre and several riverside pubs and restaurants are around at which to while the night away. The bars, cafés and independent shops of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Llangollen are within driving distance: other top town picks are a picnic in Riverside Park, a stroll along Victoria Promenade, and a steam straight ahead on the Llangollen Railway.
