If you had thoughts on an ideal setting for a hol between England and Wales, Hadley Park might well be it. It's in the Shropshire countryside on the border with Wales, next to the Shropshire Union Canal, and a handsomely scenic walk from Whitchurch, Shropshire's oldest market town. Hadley Park is a family-owned and run site that's set up for adults only. It has a small pond where guests can fish – for free; a big sundeck overlooking the pond, and a fully licensed on-site café serving fresh local produce. You can also have your hair smartened up in the Hadley Park salon: just enquire when booking using the details in your booking confirmation email. Amenities include a launderette and a washing-up area; there's also a chemical disposal point, and a modern well-kept toilet and shower block with disabled facilities. The park is adults-only and welcomes well-behaved dogs. A service station with fast food and coffee outlet is 400 yards away.

Site easy to find, good location.
Site and amenities are well kept and it has character with camping pods, a little hut by the lake and a place to sit and have a fire pit.You can buy firewood on site The lake is lovely to sit by, there is also fishing available here.
The amenities block is spotlessly clean.The utilities are washer and dryer and even a microwave!!The site also has recycling.The added bonus is Alfresco, the onsite cafe serving a variety of reasonable price dishes.From the site you can walk into Whitchurch, part way on canal the rest roadside due to works on the canal but the walk is pleasant.

喜欢 We thoroughly enjoyed Hadley Park the facilities were clean and well looked after. The value for money is unbeaten. There is a cafe on site which is perfect for a tasty cooked breakfast. The cabin was well equipped with Tea/coffee plates and cutlery was a great touch. Tv in each pod was a welcomed suprise. The road noise isn’t as bad as many reviews would say it isn’t majorly distracting and didn’t bother us. There is an Aldi 3 minutes drive away which you can use to stock up before you arrive and signage is easy to follow. We opted in for prosecco on arrival which was lovely. I cannot recommend Hadley Park enough. We drove to Llangollen for the day which is about 40 minutes away for the day which was lovely too.

不喜欢 The beds are not the most comfortable but I would just bring a mattress topper if I returned again. Although this is no fault of the Park the cafe does have quite short opening times 9-3 I would love if they opened abit earlier and closed later but it wasn’t a major inconvenience to us.

喜欢 Lots of improvements, very good friendly couple. Cafe gives excellent good value food. Fishing on site.
Some more fishing pegs would be great in your plans going forward.
When canal.path is open you can walk to whitchurch one way and Grindley lock the other way where there is a nice cafe.

不喜欢 Shame canal path was closed but that's not the sites fault and work is still going on to fill the sinkhole.

喜欢 Been here a few times, first time for two years though, lovely peaceful weekend.
Dog field for us is why we come back, our dog is reactive and so this gives her the space to have a good run without us looking over our shoulder

Staying close to home from Hadley Park, the old Shropshire town of Whitchurch is less than a mile away, and the walks of the Sandstone Trail as well as the hacks of the Bishop Bennet Way are easily accessible via the Shropshire and Union Canal on site. Elsewhere, several famed Shropshire and Cheshire sights are within 20 miles of the park, like Chester Cathedral and the city's Roman ruins and amphitheatre; Chester Zoo and Chester Racecourse; the fab follies of Hawkestone Park, and the llamas, alpacas and 50 acres of greenery of Cholmondeley Castle Gardens. Nearby Shrewsbury is famed for its annual flower show and for its Darwin Trail commemorating the life and work of evolution dude Charles Darwin who was born in the town. More modernly, a good range of plays are held at the new Severn Theatre and several riverside pubs and restaurants are around at which to while the night away. The bars, cafés and independent shops of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Llangollen are within driving distance: other top town picks are a picnic in Riverside Park, a stroll along Victoria Promenade, and a steam straight ahead on the Llangollen Railway.
