喜欢 Having stayed up the road for years when visiting for regattas, this was a lovely find. Very peaceful and exactly what we wanted. Will definitely be back.

喜欢 Absolutely beautiful location, the campsite is over looking the lake, which is huge, and full of nature. There's plenty of space to pitch up with no set locations, basically find a spot you like and off you go.
It's so peaceful (as long as you like the sound of nature).
There's only a portaloo currently available, but toilet blocks are being built which is a huge bonus. There's access to fresh water to fill up your bottles so you don't need to worry about taking lots of water with you.
I highly recommend staying here for your break from the norm.

喜欢 We loved the open space and the views. The site was relatively quiet and other campers were considerate of others.

不喜欢 Toilet was far and a portaloo. Thankfully we knew this going in as had checked reviews but.

喜欢 Great location, great price, only one toilet but it was very clean, not too crowded, whole campsite was very clean & other guests were quiet and respectful, lake was very beautiful - thanks guys, would definitely stay again :)

We are glad you enjoyed the views and scenery, and as an off grid site this is exactly what we are all about.

We appreciate that at present there are limited facilities, however this is documented on Pitch up so hope you were not mislead in anyway.
If you were to ever visit us again, the shower and toilet block will be up and running

喜欢 Really liked this site, lots of space to choose pitch and great views of the lakes. Lots of wildlife about. Good price to stay, will be back in the future when next in the area. Nice walks, public footpaths.

喜欢 Off grid camping. Great view across the lake at sunset.
If off grid is what you want, this is perfect.

不喜欢 Dependant on your Sat Nav, finding the site might be difficult.
My sat nav sent me to a gated road but my sons sent him correctly via the main road.

We have added extra information to what we send out for our campers to try and combat any issues finding us, and new signage has been put up.

喜欢 Very generous area to camp over looking the lakes. Relatively flat, soft grass but had many rocks and gravely under the dirt layer, so do not bring cheap pegs.

Views were amazing across the lake and a public path to walk almost all around the lake (big sign saying a field was closed) but looked temporary.

There's a van that drives round and stops by the entrance and lots of checks, especially for the anglers. Clean, open and There's also a jetty if you like to have a splash. Although it doesnt state if wild swimming is allowed.

Will absolutely be back, great communication from Sally too.

不喜欢 The temporary toilet. The smell of the recyclable flushing water was gag inducing. Thankfully (hopefully) its only temporary and it is being used by others and the people fishing, it still worked xD

We do understand the issues around the portable toilet and have put measures in place to try and overcome this until our toilet and shower block is complete.
