Looking for a quiet and friendly adults-only site in Lincolnshire for a motorhome or campervan? Lovely – then you could soon be lolling about at Langdale Lakes, 10 minutes’ drive from Lincoln amid a lush and leafy landscape. As the name suggests, this park surrounds a few bodies of water for carp and coarse fishing in fab scenery (with a discount on pegs for guests). It’s an ace place for ambling too as there’s a designated dog walking area allowing off-leash explores for the couple of well-behaved canines visitors can bring with them on their hol. Loping around the lakes is also a fine way to spend some time here, as is venturing a touch further out for cycling and boat trips along local canals or visiting villages scattered around the Lincolnshire Wolds (20 minutes), like Market Rasen, Alford and Caistor. Prefer to mosey about without the motorhome? Buses stop outside the site and travel in two directions, including to Lincoln, the market towns of Louth and Horncastle, and the seaside at Skegness. On return, the site has ample amenities for completing chores, from dishwashing facilities within a well-lit and sheltered area to an Elsan emptying point and grey water waste disposal. The microwave is handy for heating up any leftovers you’ve brought home from lunch at one of Lincoln’s excellent eateries.

喜欢 Beautiful peaceful site, well laid out.Toilets/showers well kept. Two well stocked lakes. Hosts John and Jackie very helpful, made to feel at home.Bus service just outside, short trip in to Lincoln.

喜欢 Lovely quiet site in a beautiful setting. Great bus access into Lincoln (or Skegness/Mablethorpe) from just outside the site.

不喜欢 Only one tiny shower/toilet block with 2 shower rooms and 1 toilet! This was insufficient for the number of pitches available. A second block should be set up. There was a queue first thing in the mornings to use the toilet.

喜欢 Friendly welcome from John who explained everything we needed to know about the site and local buses. Shown to our pitch which was near to the lake with nice views. Level pitch with fresh water at the rear of the electric hook up. Metered electric, we paid £5.00 cash and only used £1.44 during our two nights. Balance refunded on departure. Toilets and showers close by , were clean with plenty of hot water. Ample signage for waste and recycling bins and elsan etc. Evening walk around the lakes was pleasant. Quiet site in beautiful surroundings. Some comments made previously about noise from the nearby road but we didn't find this an issue. Convenient for visiting Lincoln and surrounding areas.

喜欢 Lovely site, well maintained, nice pitches and facilities, whilst few were perfectly clean. The best thing was John and Jackie, so friendly and helpful. Bus stops few minutes walk , can get to Lincoln, Louth, Skegness and other places. Lovely pub about 10 mins walk

喜欢 Lovely site, lovely owners, beautiful natural lakes with owners that care about their fish and clearly knowledgeable, they are on hand when you need them and distant when you don’t, which is a perfect balance to achieve, we decided within a couple of hours that we would be returning and subsequently booked another week! ( we very rarely return to sites ) but this one is a little gem, They clearly have a lot of returning guests who proved to be just the right amount of friendly without overcrowding, a memorable trip ❤️

喜欢 Lovely clean and tidy site with lots of attention to detail. The owners where really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Pitch was by the waters edge and we enjoyed our morning cuppa watching the family of ducks. Our dog also loved exploring in the enclosed dog run. We ventured into Lincoln for the day using the bus which stops just outside the campsite. We also enjoyed an evening meal at the local pub which was lovely. We were just the 2 of us but it does get busy so would recommend booking if more than 2. We will be back!

喜欢 Very well designed site which has clearly been given a lot of thought in making the best of this beautiful peaceful location. Lovely walks around the fishing lakes with a delightful array of artistically decorated notices and thoughts. Even dogs are well catered for with a well planned secure walking area off-lead through woods. Also lots of various water fowl to observe too.

不喜欢 Nothing really. I suppose I should mention the goods train line running to rear of the sight with occasional passing trains from early morning, but they were short-lived and not a real problem

Lincoln’s a smashing spot for urban explores: it has a cathedral, castle, museums, art galleries and shops aplenty (10 minutes’ drive). The cobbled Steep Hill is worth a stroll – true to its moniker, it’s the fourth steepest street in England, so don’t be surprised if scaling it leaves you huffing and puffing. Other settlements to have a gander at include Market Rasen (20 minutes), which has a racecourse, and the Georgian town of Louth (half an hour) – a foodie’s fave – on the other side of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The whole area’s also a hotspot for folk fond of flying; aviation sites are scattered all around, including the Red Arrows’ home at RAF Scampton Heritage Centre (15 minutes). Petrolheads are pretty keen on Cadwell Park (half an hour), while golf courses are a pound a penny for those who want to perfect their swing. Seeking seaside times? The golden sands of the Lincolnshire coast, including the beaches around Skegness, are about an hour’s drive.
