喜欢 Stayed here with some friends and our children, we had a lovely time, pitch where you want on a selection of areas, staff were extremely friendly and very approachable. Two minute drive in to the town center for takeaways/essentials. Would definitely recommend.

喜欢 Really nice clean campsite. The owners go above and beyond for the campers. Really clean showers and toilets. I would recommend and look forward to going back myself.

不喜欢 There was nothing to dislike, it did and had everything we needed for camping.

喜欢 Warm showers and clean facilties. Amazing location for mountain biking -trails are only a short pedal away! Lovely owners.

We have chose to have cold water washing up as children in particular leave taps running so always easy to boil a kettle and then can use from kettle and add cold water.
Also being on a metre and trying to look after the environment 😀
Also had you of asked we could you could of course stayed on an extra hour is so . No problem at all .

不喜欢 Disliked nothing! Only thing I’d say is there is only 2 toilets and 2 showers which I don’t think is enough for everyone to use

When only charging low cost for camping it doesn’t stretch any more for more facilities.

What might you find in Puzzle Wood (35 minutes’ walk)? Iron ores and Roman coins are scattered around the 14-acre ancient woodlands, with a wizard challenge to get the kids on the lookout. Meanwhile, the Forest of Dean has walking, cycling and mountain biking trails, including a nine-mile loop or the more challenging Offa’s Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk. Even more challenging are the Welsh peaks within driving distance of the site. The Brecon Beacons’ tallest mountain, Pen y Fan (an hour and 15 minutes’ drive), has several big hikes and Sugar Loaf (45 minutes) is a big six-mile hike in the gorgeous Black Mountains. Perhaps you’ll want to climb to Symonds Yat Rock (10 minutes), where peregrine falcons and goshawks often gather. Back down on the ground – well, actually underground – pretend like you’re a freeminer in the caverns and underground museum in Clearwell Caves (45 minutes’ walk). Those who fancy spying for some more birds or taking yet more peaceful bike rides might want to visit Cannop Ponds (five minutes’ drive). As for those who are looking to add kayaking, paddleboarding and raft-building to their Forest of Dean resume, slide Mallards Pike (10 minutes) right onto that itinerary.
