Parking up by the pub is a fine idea for several reasons – the most important of those being that you’ll be able to have a few drinks of an evening without any worries about having to drive anywhere. That’s the particularly enticing attraction for Roston Inn Certificated Location, a Caravan and Motorhome Club members-only site in the grounds of a friendly Derbyshire pub which is open from 5pm on weekdays and from 12pm on weekends. Once you arrive, you’re likely to want to settle in for a while, either cosying up by the log burner or soaking up the fresh air from one of the outdoor tables. There’s a good range of cask ales, wines and other drinks to choose from. Food is also served on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, as well as all day on Friday and Saturday. (And on Fridays from 6pm, make sure you don't miss the on-site barbecue night.) When you're ready to turn your attention to what's around the site, you should be happy to learn that there are heaps of excellent days out nearby, from hikes in the Peak District National Park and watersports at Carsington Water to action-packed days at Alton Towers. Ashbourne and Uttoxeter (both 15 minutes' drive) are your best bets for things like supermarkets, although you should certainly stop in at the Denstone Hall Farm Shop (five minutes) for local treats. Back at the pub, you’ll be staying at a small site where the grass touring pitches have hardstanding underneath for sturdiness, electric hookups are included and there are lovely views out over the surrounding countryside. Guests are welcome to pitch up, enjoy the view and then say hello to the owners in the pub when it opens. Toilets and washing facilities are accessible 24 hours per day, and there's a chemical disposal point for guest use as well.

喜欢 Cheap and with EHU. It was an okay one night stopover.

不喜欢 A lot of litter, not well kept. Bins at side of pub were a mess. Toilets/shower basic, could be cleaner. Pub not serving food.

喜欢 Absolutely everything about this little site, toilet, shower etc great plenty of hot water. The pub attached to the campsite is really good especially Friday, they have a BBQ food was lovely & the owners & local people made us so welcome.It is in the middle of nowhere, local shop , chip shop, pub etc about 10mins in car or 55mins to walk which we did. If you want peace & quiet to chill out this is for you.

喜欢 A small campsite next to a pleasant pub. Booked through pitch up and turned up about 2 hours later. Rural location. We were the only ones there. EHU for about 8 ish. Pub was open and had lots of room to sit outside. Unfortunately unable to eat there as they had an electrical problem in the week prior. Menu looked good though!
Toilet and shower available with a code. No light at night though - probably leftover from the electrical problems.
Toilet emptying available.
Outside tap.
Fine for one or two nights.

不喜欢 Toilet and shower were basic. Needs a bit of tidying up and the electrics sorting (possibly already in hand). The grass pitch was nice as we were the only one, but if all EHUs were used, it would be very cramped unless the intent was to spread out over the carpark.

喜欢 -Quiet area, close to Ashbourne.
-The pub was lovely, they had a BBQ and live music
-Small, intimate site (it fits around 6 campers), so there isn't much disturbance from others

喜欢 Very friendly Host .All staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble .BBQ on Friday night was amazing and the place was packed. Nice and peaceful site.
