Yes we are located by a main road (google maps will show you that) but its easy access & simple parking and straight off the main road, you have easy access to Welshpool, Offers Dyke and Powys castle, 25 mins to shrewsbury & an hour to the beautiful Welsh coast. We have a lovely Dog Friendly pub with great views we serve local beers and have a wonderful beer garden with a lovely secure children's play area. We have a 70 seater restaurant open from 12 noon every day with a choice of menus from traditional Pub food which includes fresh Cod hand fried in local beer batter, local Welsh Sirloin Steaks, Hand made Welsh 8oz beefburgers topped with blue cheese to a specials menu with Tapas or Greek food. comprehensive children's menu also available. Sundays to us only mean one thing, We are the Hosts with the Roasts! We offer Top side Beef, Lamb, Turkey, Pork, or nut roast. with all the trimmings including cauliflower cheese. We have a large selection of gluten free choices & for vegetarian and vegan diets. We also have an outside undercover seating area if you would like to eat or drink outside even when the weather is not great. We have some lovely Glamping pods made from recycled water bottles from the sea!. We renovated this beautiful 17th century inn when we purchased it in feb 2021 mostly by ourselves as trades people are difficult to find right now. Yes our shower block is outdated but it was redecorated before the season and is cleaned twice a day, the hot shower works very well. ( winter 2021-2022 we plan a refit) We have live music every weekend all year round. We know we can not cater for everyone's tastes and understand that we don't get everything right every time but we try our very best to make sure everyone feels at home. We are sorry that your not returning and would love to see you again but we do hope you find somewhere that is more suitable for yourselves. Your Hosts Tommy & Shaz Gee.
