Tyckte om Excellent site, toilets and shower spotlessly clean. Stayed an extra 4 nights. Freezers for packs, fridges and sockets free to use. Wash pot station with bowls,liquid etc. hire of fire pit and wood if needed. Owner informative and made us feel welcome. Will definitely be back.

Tyckte om We loved this campsite and location, so much so we stayed an extra night. The owners were friendly with a cafe on site serving breakfast and evening pizza , however the best ever Ice cream, made on site from the cows on the farm. Also on the farm is an array of older farming equipment with Steven being willing to share the information on every item. This is a new business and wish Paul all the success in the future. The nearest shop and cash machine is about a mile and a half away in Flookbrough, chippy and Chinese too! For the bird watchers head to shoreline through Flookbrough, and lovely spot for the sunset! Cartmel is worth the visit with a priory and quaint shops, bars and restaurants serving good food. The farm itself has history in a building attached dating back hundreds of years, stories of Cromwell, well worth a good look around and google the History for further info. Be prepared for midges, early evening fire to keep them at bay needed, take your own pit or small bar b bucket. Small area for pot washing on site, tap with drinking water portaloo and a porta shower. I have mobility issues and the owner arranged the delivery of a disabled toilet, which was extremely kind and considerate.

Tyckte om Great site, clean facilities, drinking and washing up water supplied and info on local area. The owners went above and beyond to help out during unpredictable strong winds this weekend. Approachable and friendly owners. We will be back.

Tyckte om Peaceful setting and great views. Tea/coffee available on arrival, drinking water replenished daily. Owners friendly. Easy access to explore Derwentside, Hexham and roman wall. Will defo be back.

Tyckte inte om Only one porta loo usable really, but clean. Could do with a flat slab as step up bit high and uneven stepping out.

We have now adjusted its footing, so this is much improved and no-longer has a high step up. Our other loo is meant to be a children's loo and they seem to like the novelty of it.
