Tyckte om Lovely chilled-out campsite in a beautiful spot. Great cafe for breakfast, drinks and really enjoyed the Saturday night paella/ music. I stayed in Sweet Hill Pasture field which had a lovely view of Portland Bill lighthouse. Flat pitch (but exposed when the wind picked up). Easy check-in, friendly staff. Excellent value.

Tyckte inte om As others have commented, portaloos aren't ideal but they were in a perfectly acceptable state considering it was a busy summer holiday weekend. Sinks and cold water taps in the field. Lots of people arrived later on Saturday evening and pitched up very close to us so it became a little cramped. As I was in a camper van they hadn't really appreciated that we would have liked a little space allowed for our table and chair!

We're so pleased Sweet Hill Pasture worked so well for you, that view of Portland Bill lighthouse really is something special, isn't it! We're also thrilled to hear you enjoyed the café, the Saturday evening paella and music. Those evenings are something we put a lot of love into and it's always wonderful to hear guests enjoy them as much as we do. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to the team. Thank you for your generous and fair comments about the portaloos, we completely appreciate they aren't everyone's preference, and we're glad they were in an acceptable state despite it being such a busy weekend. We continue to monitor and maintain them as regularly as we possibly can. Regarding spacing between pitches, this is something we're very mindful of and we're sorry that late arrivals on the Saturday evening left you feeling a little cramped. As our fields are open rather than marked pitches, it can be a challenge to manage spacing during busier periods, particularly for campervans where a little extra room makes such a difference. It's really helpful feedback and something we'll continue to work on with our team to ensure everyone has the space to enjoy their stay comfortably. We very much hope to welcome you back to Sweet Hill Farm again, perhaps for another paella evening!

Tyckte om A lovely spot and excellent value for money. Friendly and welcoming owners who frequently checked that we were ok (especially welcome after a windy, stormy night). Toilet, shower and washing up areas were spotlessly clean. Access to the site via gate code was clearly explained to use and our pitch was of a good size.

Tyckte inte om Nothing at all to dislike but worth mentioning that solar lighting in the washing up and shower/ toilet areas could be dim in the early hours and recommend bringing a torch or head torch.

Tyckte om Lovely site and location. Basic but clean facilities: somewhere to do washing up and charge our phones, one flushing toilet at the top of the site and 2 portaloos in the main field. Lots of nice walks and things to see locally: I went to Sissinghurst Castle which was beautiful. Friendly owner who regularly checked in to see if people were ok and kindly froze my ice packs for me.

Tyckte inte om I wasn't able to get any Wifi where I was camped at the bottom of the orchard but I was there to get-away from it all so it wasn't an issue! It was a Bank Holiday weekend and the owner felt the site was going to be quite busier. We were directed to camp at the bottom of the orchard and there were a few other tents next to us in our corner. Everyone was lovely but the field is huge and we could all actually have been much more spaced out.

Tyckte om I had a lovely 2 night stay at Painters Farm. On arrival I was greeted by the friendly owners and shown to my pitch. Pitch size was plenty big enough and the pitches are clearly marked out. Showers, toilets and washing up facilities are clean and tidy and well-lit. There is a little shop for essentials. The site was a mixture of families, cyclists and walkers. It is very quiet at night. Dogs are very welcome and I appreciated helpful touches like hooks for dog leads outside the toilet block. Cars are parked in a separate field but you can unload at your pitch first and there's no rush at all.

Tyckte inte om Nothing at all to dislike about the campsite itself. The only downside for me was that one night I was unable to eat at the local pub because I hadn't booked a table. Do follow the recommendations and BOOK if you want to eat! My first night I didn't have any problems but the second night they would not take my order even though I was sitting outside and there was only one of me :-( I did enjoy my fish and chips from Ospringe fish bar a few mins drive away though :-)
