Tyckte om Peaceful, lovely friendly owners, amenities were spotless and had everything we needed. Lovely warm showers. Phone charging lockers were great. We requested a pitch that is shady in the morning and that's what we got, thanks so much! Super close to the country park with mountain bike trails, activities on the lake and walks. Great onsite swing and play park which kept our kids busy. Will bring our bikes next time!

Tyckte om Great field, mostly flat, plenty of space with awesome views. Good shower and toilet facilities, clean and user friendly with little ones! Lovely hot showers. Amazing full english brekkie at cafe

Tyckte inte om Cafe staff were a bit rude. The board outside the cafe said open until 7pm. I went in at 6.30pm and asked for a table for our large group of 17 (with 6 hungry children under 7) and was told the kitchen had closed. Cue panic stations to feed the kids before bed! My friend then asked the owner where we could get food. He looked confused and said, our cafe! He told the cafe staff to reopen the kitchen for us which they did (thank you owner, you were a life saver!) But as our group came down in dribs and drabs from the field we kept being told 'the kitchen is closed' several times until we pointed out that we were the group that the owner asked them to reopen for! Food was amazing though and this was one small blip in an otherwise perfect weekend. But something to be aware of if expecting to feed small children!

Från föreståndaren: Thanks for your review, and apologies for any confusion over opening times; we advertise that the kitchen closes half an hour before the cafe shuts, and usually ask for pre orders for larger groups! Tyckte om Loved this peaceful campsite, lots of flat space for the kids to play and ride their bikes around. Small site so we had eyes on our 3yr old and 5yr old the whole time, no matter where they were. Lovely managers looked after us so well and were available for anything we needed. Pizza and pub meal at The Alma pub was great, only 5 mins walk away and a nice garden for the kids to play in there too. Highly recommend.
