Tyckte om We loved this campsite! Great location, literally on the coast path so perfect for walking to local coves & beaches. Could not have asked for a better pitch just at the top of the hill overlooking the campsite. There is a well stocked shop, food every night except Thursday (amazing Sunday dinner) and a bar opening at 3pm daily. Very nice clean shower blocks. We did have issues with nighttime noisy neighbours, but this was dealt with very quickly by the campsite staff for which we were very grateful.

Tyckte om We do lots of camping, honestly this is one of THE BEST pitches we have stayed on! We were lucky enough to get on a pitch up the banking to the left of the site, stunning views of the surrounding fells, surrounded by wild flowers, and a quieter out of the way area for a sometimes grumpy dog. The staff are lovely, well stocked little shop. Breakfast cobs from the pub literally on the site, didn’t manage to get an evening meal (totally our fault for not booking early enough). We did have a very delicious lunch though. Lots of amazing walks starting from the site which I absolutely love, because you don’t have to drive to crowded car parks. We will definitely be returning here.

Tyckte om Very friendly helpful staff. This is our 3rd visit to Gill Head Farm, we have pitched in different locations on the site each time, all come with outstanding views & are very well kept. Toilets & showers warm & clean. Park for the kids. Pizza available on site on certain days, this was new to us this year & a fantastic addition (highly recommend as the pizzas were delicious). Dog friendly. Perfect location for walks & days out, whilst being just far enough away from the hustle & bustle of Keswick. The whole family really loves this campsite, it just has a very warm welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Tyckte om We all love this campsite. The kids (11 & 9) enjoy the park, but also when the weather is wet they can go to the communal room which is great for keeping them entertained. Toilets & showers always clean. The tent pitches are fantastic, waking up to amazing views of Blencathra, and Great Mell Fell. Good location, only a short drive to Keswick, Ullswater and the start of many exciting walks!

Tyckte om Great campsite, loads of room for tent pitch with fantastic views, we also thought it was very thoughtful to have cars parked off the grass away from the tents. Great play area, kids loved it. I really liked the communal room, it was a great place to eat when it rained and we couldn’t eat outside. Excellent showers & toilet facilities, kept immaculate! Very well organised campsite.

Tyckte inte om Just one thing, on our last night group of people allowed to pitch up at about 10.15pm, parked cars on grass with headlights shining straight onto our tent, woke everyone in our tent up, very noisy till about 12.30am.

Tyckte om This site is a firm family favourite. The kids really love the play area, the toilets & showers are kept nice and clean, shop on site with all the essentials. They also have various food vans at the weekend if you don’t fancy cooking, and don’t want a drive out. There is a very relaxed friendly atmosphere to this campsite, we all love it here, highly recommended!

Tyckte om The location of this campsite is stunning! You have the best of everything, Snowdonia is on its doorstep, and lots of beaches to choose from within a short drive away, an amazing place to stay to explore North Wales. The campsite itself is nestled in the hills with amazing views from your tent pretty much all the way round. Nice clean facilities & very friendly, helpful staff. The little shop which has all the essentials, plus very reasonably priced fire pit hire, logs & kindling. My kids loved the park, and really enjoyed feeding the on-site donkeys (you buy the feed from the shop for just 50p) We all loved this campsite and all agreed on the way home it’s one we would love to come back to (dog included!)

Tyckte om Fantastic flat tent pitches, very friendly staff, toilets & shower facilities close to tent pitches & very clean. Perfectly situated for days out, great kids play area to keep them entertained if you just fancy a lazy day at the tent. Dog friendly. Local pub does amazing pizzas!

Tyckte om The kids were very impressed this year with the improvements to the park, and the arrival of the ice cream van at the weekend! Great location for days out in Derbyshire Dales, good clean facilities onsite, well stocked on-site shop, breakfast cobs, tea & coffee also available onsite in the morning which was very useful as gas bottle ran out!
