Tyckte om We used this site as a base to explore parts of Norfolk i haven't visited in quite a while, the location is just off a quite country lane outside the village and the first thing you notice is how BIG the field is ! its a quite spot except for the loud overhead rumbling from military aircraft from time to time.. This is a very basic site but very clean & the toilet/ shower blocks kept pristine, the owner is very helpful & pleasant. There doesn't seem to be any wi fi available, the plot size for our caravan was large & no issues with the electric hook up. We enjoyed 5 nights here in Sept 26 but then moved to a second site close to cromer for the rest of our hols.

Tyckte om Location is excellent with amazing views across the bay to barmouth & the surrounding countryside with beautiful sunsets on clearer evenings. The on-site shower & toilet blocks are very modern & clean , our pitch shared a water tap so we didn't have to go far to refill our barrel, the staff are very helpful and have lots of local knowledge we will definitely be returning next year 😀

Tyckte inte om Very little to dislike, the hill climb up to the site is very steep so its 1st gear if your towing a caravan but then you enjoy the fantastic views & Google maps seems to go wrong about half a mile before you arrive 🤔

Tyckte om The location of the site is idyllic & the scenery beautiful, everything about the site is modern, well thought out & very clean. It's clear to see a lot of love & hard work has gone into this touring location with a well stocked shop, bus stop opposite & restaurant/ pub close by. We found the location good for exploring mull in both directions & its truly an amazing island ( and the nearby smaller islands) God willing we will return someday 🙏 😃

Tyckte inte om We went for a meal in the restaurant ( best to book online as it gets very busy) and felt it was rather expensive particularly as our 'lamb chilli' (with rice) meals were more like child portions , so much so we ordered some bread just to help fill us up & a side salad ( excellent by the way) at £18 each for a small portion we wasn't happy sad to say, and when our bill arrived I noticed a 'service charge' of £6.75 added to the bill - somthing I have never come across before - is this a Scottish thing ? When I questioned the extra charge I was informed we didn't have to pay it if we didn't want to... so why put it on the bill in the fist place ? 🤔

Tyckte om The location , just a 10 minute drive into keswick, the size of this touring park - not too big , and the electric hook up & water on each pitch made life easy. The toilets & shower facilities are very modern lovely & clean & there are even toiletries provided - shower gels, soaps etc - the showers were just the right temperature , a lot of thought has gone into making this site comfortable & mostly practical & it is a great base for exploring the area. Finally the owner / manager lady is very hardworking & friendly and knows the area well useful for ideas on places to visit 😀 We will be back.

Tyckte inte om Only one problem really - the pot washing facilities are 'inside' one of the shower / toilet rooms ( 3 of these in same block) and that means if somebody is using the loo or shower the outer door is locked & you have to wait to wash up.... almost every sight I have stayed on put the 'pot washing ' area outside under a shelter ... 🤔

Från föreståndaren: Hi Mark, Thanks so much for your review, we are currently working on the pot wash and hopefully come Autumn the middle toilet is being made into a pot wash area and small drying area , but I will see if we can get a make-shift outside sink sorted in the meanwhile. It's the first time anyone has commented on it but if it's something I need to change I definitely will. Tyckte om Plenty of hot water for washing up & in the shower block / toilets which were kept very clean . Shops on site (mostly antiques ) great for a browse , on-site pod cafe - food in here is good quality but a tad expensive...

Tyckte inte om No physical welcome pack / map ( only site I have ever visited & found this ) only one elsan disposal point for the whole site and it's not under cover. Pitch up state's there is a bar / pub on site but it's hit and miss when it's actually open... We found this site to be expensive for 4 nights in November £172 ! Although we were on a hard standing with our touring caravan all the surrounding grass was badly waterlogged & muddy even though it's on an incline ? I suspect poor drainage.... Would not return in winter time sorry to say 😐

With regards to the welcome information, we currently provide digital site maps and information in order to reduce paper waste and ensure guests always have access to the most up-to-date details. However, we do appreciate that some guests prefer a physical copy, and your feedback is helpful as we continue reviewing how best to provide this information. Thank you also for your comments regarding the elsan point and winter ground conditions. Periods of heavy rain during the winter months can unfortunately lead to some waterlogging on grassed areas despite the natural incline, and this is something our maintenance team continually monitor and work to improve where possible. In relation to the bar, opening times can vary depending on the time of year and demand, which may have been the reason for the inconsistency during your stay. We are sorry to read that you would not consider returning during the winter months, but we do appreciate you sharing your experience as it helps us continue improving the facilities and information we provide to guests.

Tyckte om Shower & toilet blocks were modern , heated & nice and warm. No extra charge for electricity. Close proximity to york park & ride. Nice quite site.

Tyckte inte om No reception- when we arrived we didn't know which pitch to use for our caravan, we rang the supplied no but got no reply ( got a call back about 20 mins later) so asked a fellow caravaner who informed us to use any vacant pitch. The site location although very convenient for visiting York is just a strip of land with hedges both sides and not very 'pleasing ' too the eye. The surrounding roads get very busy with traffic and you can always hear this in the background.
