Tyckte om Wow what a location, if you love peace and quiet and stunning views this is the place. Massive gravel hard standing with your water and electrics close by, it’s on a raised location so stunning views, perfect for stargazing if clear. The shower/toilet block is the best we have ever used, it is made mostly out of local wood and smelt amazing. In the showers there is massive overhead shower head which was powerful and as hot as you could ever want, you could hold a party in there so plenty of room to get changed in !!!!!! The toilets are spotless with a large sink to brush your teeth and wash your hands. Bring all your food with you as if you don’t want to move your van there is nothing close to buy groceries. There is a pub at the bottom of the track near to the castle and bike hire place but it is closed Mon-Wed and only open until 1800hrs the rest of the time. We hired an E-bike for the day (£90) from the bike hire shop and cycled around the lake utilising the much needed cafe/pub on the way round, but if you want to do nothing and listen to the absolute silence apart from owls and other birds and the odd red squirrel visit, pitch black night skies with amazing shower/toilet facilities this location is for you.
