Tyckte om This is a prime example of an establishment that wants money for nothing and does not care about holiday makers or overnight campers at all. I arrived at approximately 7.30 pm. Simple campsite on first impression …. Two very old porta loos. A huge white water vat with a sign saying “not drinking water” - hose pipe from it. No handwashing facilities. No Pot washing facilities. No drinking water. I initially thought I could cope with all that as that was wha was advertised however…. Inspection of port-a loos revealed disgusting dried stuck on poo. Flush didn’t work. No hand sanitiser. No toilet roll. Toilets had not been cleaned in weeks… I feel I could not stay and use filthy toilet with not hand washing facilities either. … I rang the farmer who was in a farmhouse about 400 metre down a steep hill from campsite. I explained I knew no showers on site but toilets were so dirty I could not possibly use in that condition. I expected th farmer to say “ sorry I’ll be up to sort it ASAP” but the Farmer unleashed on me. Accusing me of being aggressive toward him. Said he was “sick of the campsite and was not coming to clean toilets” he said “I’ve been at work all day I’m not walking up the hill to look at toilets” I asked him he could provide me with cleaning material and gloves and I’d clean the toilets. He got even more angry and said “do you want your money back?” I said I would. on. At this point I was in tears. Had driven 4 hours and I was tired and shaken up with him attitude. I walked down to the farm house for my refund. I knocked on the door. The farmer (a large man tall and well built) answered. He threw the money at me. Two £20 notes and ten pounds in small change. I had to get on my hands and knees to retrieve it all. He shouted “what do you expect for £20 a night” At this point I just wanted to get off the site away from him. He frightened me. This campsite should be avoided at all cost. Not child friendly. Not friendly at all . Not worth £20 at all! Not once have I stayed in a campsite that does not have fresh drinking water. I wish I had taken photos but I just wanted to get out the vicinity as soon as I could. I actually feared for my safety. I will be reporting this incident. I would hate anyone to experience the same treatment. The location is beautiful - This site could be a gem. Clean th toilets. Provide hand wash near the water vat. Provide each customer with a large bottle of of drinking water from your farmhouse. Provide small pot washing bowl. Little things like that make all difference.

Från föreståndaren: Load of rubbish you rang me shouting down the phone complaining about everything was wrong don’t know what im supposed to do so I gave you your money back we don’t need people like you I wasn’t abused to you the toilet were clean and feared for your safety can’t really believe what I’m hearing I’m gob smacked I have my wife and daughter and son that heard you shouting at me they couldn’t believe it as we well

Tyckte om Arrived and chose my pitch which was very spacious so no issues there Large bin for all waste at exit and entrance of site. Smaller bin near toilet and shower block. Toilet block clean. 3 toilets. I never had to wait for one so ample as far as I was concerned on my visit and the campsite was busy. Mirrors in toilet block and toilet rolls a plenty. 2 clean showers with unlimited hot water and complementary shower gel. Two hand washing sinks were accessible with hot and cold water and plugged sinks for those wanting to wash face etc. complementary handwash (no hand dry facilities so take a towel if need to) Pot washing area is next to hand wash. Large sink with plug. Scourers, cloths and washing up liquid. Hot and cold water unlimited. Dog treats , bowls for if you’ve forgotten yours and poo bags all situated here! In the night solar lights guided your way to the toilet and shower block and automatic lights within areas. No issues. Lighting was good. Football goal and other children toys were available on site which children used and enjoyed. I had no issue where I pitched with WIFI. I met the owner of the site and she was friendly and couldn’t do enough to make my stay comfortable. I enjoyed it so much I stayed an extra night and wish I was still there! It’s a quiet site. Pitch black at night lovely! - star gazing amazing , I really enjoyed it and will be booking again soon

Tyckte inte om I didn’t dislike anything. BUT if you have a dog who barks at other dogs or you don’t like dogs don’t pitch near the public footpath area (near the plastic fence bit) I did, but I like talking to people and although my dog barked at every dog going by it was short lived and worth it as I met so many lovely locals and holiday makers alike.

Tyckte om EVERYTHING ! Scrupulously clean site in every way! Lovely flat pitches. Hot showers. Microwave and fridge for use. Proprietors could not do enough to make the stay comfortable. We loved every moment !
