Fishing and cycling are among the activities available at TAIGA Lake Caspe, on the shores of the Embalse de Mequinenza reservoir, which is also known as the Sea of Aragon. Squeezed between a plateau and the Mediterranean, the site has its own microclimate, with a delightfully warm (but not scorchio) average temperature of 25° centigrades. When it’s warm, there’s only one place to be: the reservoir. Guests have direct access to a beach with umbrellas, sun loungers and a pontoon from where to dive. In addition to swimming and watersports, the lake is a popular fishing spot (it is well stocked with carp). Being close to the water is already pretty sweet, and the site makes things sweeter still by running a comprehensive service for anglers, taking care of all paperwork (fishing licences), organising boat rentals and providing advice. On site there is a pool for swimming laps and a paddling area for young guests. If you ever manage to get out of your swimsuit, you might want to hire a bike from reception and explore the surrounding countryside, or cycle all the way to Caspe (one hour by bike, or 15 minutes by car), where you can stop for a refreshing drink or a traditional meal. The Aiguabarreig Segre-Cinca nature reserve (half an hour’s drive) is the place to spot herons, storks and the occasional otter. And at the end of the day, after a meal in the communal barbecue area, linger a little longer to take in the spectacle of the starry night sky.

Tyckte om Me a encantado la experiencia lo repetiría con gusto. Yo me instale en parcela para tienda y estaba bien cuidada y nivelada.
Buen ambiente y el personal excelente muy trabajadora y atenta.
Todo limpio y bien cuidado.

Tyckte inte om Yo pedí parcela con césped y luz, lo único que no me gusto fue que no tenía césped.

Tyckte om The pitch was spacious enough but quite a walk to the shower block. The large pool.area was clean and the pool spacious enough to swim or to play. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The lake itself was our favourite place to spend our time. Stunning views, areas to sun bathe and plenty of options for, swimming, kayaking, fishing etc....

Tyckte om Plenty of shade, spacious showers and clean. The lake is lovely and you can take a paddle board out. There is a bar and restaurant and an area for kids to play.

Tyckte inte om The karaoke bar (which our pitch was next to) was open until around midnight and was very loud.

Tyckte om We liked the place a lot. Very nice people from the reception to the bar and the market too. As for the place…nothing to complaint about. A really nice place with trees and pool, easy acces to the river and boats. Plus the barbaque area. With clean bathrooms and showers. I would recommend this place for holidays. It’s good for the RVs too because it is electricity there and you have the possibility to connect

Tyckte om Shower was hot. Reception staff stayed late for us to check-in. Seemedike a good range of facilities but we had to leave early so didn't use them. I think its probably a good place if you have kids but it wasn't for us. Bit like being at Butlins. Also WiFi was none existent as was phone reception - another reason to leave early.

Tyckte inte om Loud music went on till gone midnight when we had been travelling since 7 am it wasn't what we expected. Pitches were very small and cramped even though we paid for a premium pitch. Also there was a cat wandering about which we weren't advised there would be we avoid campsites with cats because our dog is very reactive to them so we had to leave a day early - disappointing.

Lokala sevärdheter

There are several wineries within one hour’s drive of the site, including Modernista Celler - Catedral del Vi, with its spectacular modernist building dating from the early 20th century, and Edetaria. Both (and many others) run tours of the vineyard and the cellar, as well as guided tastings. Lleida (one hour’s drive) is a pleasant destination for a day trip, and you can relax in the Parc dels Camps Elisis, a large green area skirting the river Rio Segre. From there, you cannot miss the imposing cliff topped by the monumental complex of Turó de la Seu Vella, which includes the Castell de la Suda fortress and the medieval Seu Vella cathedral. Zaragoza (one hour and 20 minutes) claims to be the only city in the world with two cathedrals. The Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, on the river Ebro, is recognisable for its colourful domes and elegant bell towers; the Cathedral of the Savior houses the refined collections of the Tapestry Museum.
